  1. The family and I just hunkered down last night, the wind was wild around 0100-0300. Ill go out at first light and keep my fingers crossed there is no damage, same goes for everyone else.
  2. Yup, I'm in Fife ground is saturated. I'm back on duty on Monday with the fire service, we were busy last week with the rain. Funny thing is I'm meant to be on a flood response course on Monday and Tuesday. God knows what the water levels are going to be or if its going to be cancelled as I'm sure we will be dealing with the fallout of this for a few days.
  3. I had one like that last night, ran across the floor under the coffe table then dissappeared under the sofa.......needless to say I didnt go looking for him........
  4. They were yes, thats what caught my attention.
  5. Seen my first Geese yesterday morning, sure sign of a change, that and the fact it was chilly at around 8c.
  6. Really starting to notice it now, basically dark 9pm.
  7. Overcast here at the moment, but sky showng signs of some brightness trying to break through.
  8. It's like Autumn out there, hoping for a marked change in the weather over the next week or so, off to Germany, Düsseldorf on Monday hopefully its better over there.
  9. Very cool last night, wife’s threatening to put the duvet back on the bed. This period of weather has been very disappointing, hard to plan when you don’t know how the days going to pan out. Got soaked on the way home going out of Buckhaven last night........obviously I didnt pack the waterproofs for the motorbike.......
  10. It's too early for me to be considering losing daylight............but here it is........... I'll not notice it for a couple of months yet.
  11. Yup snowing here in Glenrothes, happy that we have no where to go today the roads at rush hour will be difficult.
  12. Had to put a jumper on last night very cool feeling.
  13. Been very busy for my crew and I over the last few days, I have never known so many grass fires. We attended the large one at Kennoway yesterday, was starting to impinge on folks houses and the back of Diageo.
  14. Really noticed it last night, by ten to nine the lamp was on in the living room, first time in months.
  15. Worries me, I'm on duty from Thursday right thrugh until Monday morning. The wildfire risk is through the roof at the moment I foresee a busy set of shifts attending wildfires.
  16. This year is going quickly. Or I’m just getting older (is 42 old?). Still lots of good usable light and weather to come.
  17. Decent day in the Pentland hills yesterday, very strong winds on the summit Carnethy hill.
  18. From the look of things a wee lull about lunch time before the main event starting around mid afternoon?
