That 2nd one has built quite nicely, but, its sat on the wrong side of the hills for the moment. Seems to be hammering the upper Aire Valley

As soon as I post it's looking tricky some embedded cells develop towards Bradford and Lincoln.
Good old reverse psychology.
Distant thunder heard here with increasingly gloomy skies
Seems to be a cell firing off on the A15 north of Lincoln. Thats popped up off the side of that big storm further south.

i had my storm fix yesterday and the bonus thing about it was that i was not expecting the storm i had so expect the unexpected
Its definitely building up in South Yorkshire, you can feel it in the air.
The wind has definitely picked up on the Wash storm now, almost like someone has turned on a hairdryer next to the camera.

Anyone with a couple webcam links to the Lincolnshire supercell?
South Prom - Live Webcam in Hunstanton, Norfolk
HUNSTANTON.WEBCAM
Watch a live video webcam of the main beach and promenade in Hunstanton, on the North-West Norfolk coast, in the UK.- Basically, watching from the side.

Watching that Hunstanton webcam, and you can hear the rumble of thunder in the distance. Also looks like its spread a bit.

Don’t forget supercell storms where invented in the U.K. in the sixties
Yeah, its just that that image is the sort of one you associate with the midwest.

I'm getting a bit concerned now that there will be these two big storms and little else. And I'm sat between the two of them.
I'm currently watching the line that extends from the Peterborough/Stamford area storm to the NW, that seems to be building a bit, although, with the cloud cover where I am, I can't really see if the tops are building.

The Barrow one was there for half an hour Liverpool bay one just developed out of nothing into a monster
Yeah, looking at SAT24, that Liverpool one shot up in a 15 minute period.

It's just kicked off in Liverpool bay. Lightning every 5-10 seconds I can hear on radio. Spreading Southword. This must be that trough.
Looks like a couple. One in Liverpool Bay, and another off Barrow

Will need to monitor how things progress in the coming hours, a fair amount of cloud moving northwards at the moment, this mornings system has been rather poorly modelled by both the UKV & AROME.
Very complex forecasting day today. If all goes to plan, there is the potential for some very active thunderstorms, likely large hail (2-4CM) associated with supercell thunderstorms and the risk of locally severe wind gusts (60-70MPH). Most favoured region appears to be N/NW England will initiation likely across the Midlands somewhere with storms tracking NNE from that point.
The increased cloud cover however may serve to limit maximum potential being reached, but we'll see. Tricky, exciting. Goodluck to all those chasing! Potentially the most active day of the year *IF* all goes to plan. There was definitely a defined line of storm development yesterday, which, I'm hopeful will remain in a similar area today.

Well, the Fens and South Lincolnshire have often been referred to as the UKs Midwest.
