Yep - keeping my extra layers handy as Dan suggested! It's getting boring now though - fed up of being cold. Not much in the way of ppn around except for Mon/Tues then Atlantic systems grinding to a halt in the west. -
Goodness me, it's like a heatwave - got up to 6ºC today. First time in 8 days.

You've changed the forum view mark. To get it back to normal, go right to the top of the page, and alongside the title of the thread, on the right hand side is an 'options' button. Press that and select 'standard' (near the bottom)

Hi Sascha - there's never been any 850 temp charts on the ECM output on here, just the four listed on the link Karl has given. The reasons behind this are best explained by Paul - will make sure he posts on here when he's about :lol:

Down to -4ºC/0ºC last night - coldest of the season and twelfth air frost. Currently 2ºC/1ºC and a lovely crisp sunny day :lol:

We've got our twelfth air frost of the autumn tonight - that's pretty impressive... No sign of any fog forming up here yet, but many forecasts are punting on the Central Lowlands being affected. Time will tell

Well since this is a weather Forum and we're here to talk about meteorology - winter is Dec, Jan & Feb as that is meteorological winter. Simple!

Eleventh air frost of the autumn at 8am this morning (quite late in the morning) with 0ºC/-3ºC recorded. Very blue and very sunny B)

At 3am, with temp of 0ºC/-4ºC, snow was falling and settling on all surfaces as I walked home having had a few sherries in town.

Currently 2ºC/-6ºC - same as the overnight low, which was a little disappointing. Weather set fair - nothing much happening.

Was in Dalkeith at a party last night and it was snowing on and off - quite heavy at times, but only covering cars etc. Nothing but rain here in town.

4º/0ºC and sleeting here - 50/50 mix of icy rain and flakes.
