Seems to dying out now, looking at the radar it's hard to tell whether that's it or we'll see a little more. I suppose my 2cm is better than nothing, maybe one day I'll see another big dumping of snow before I'm being spoon fed in some old folks home.
We started with that amount earlier this morning before it was washed away with spells of wet snow. It's been a strange event this one Crew, by all accounts you should have copped a lot of snow. Just goes to show that it's best to ignore model output when it comes to snow.
Apart from the precipitation issue another thing that hasn't been in our favour are the temp and dewpoints. Even now the temp is fluctuating between 1.4c to 1.8c and is only forecasted to drop to 1c overnight.
I was hoping for my only decent snow cover of the year out of this, I should have known better though as if it's not from the NW we rarely ever see anything.
I'm not from Manchester but this winter it's been like living in one's own micro climate. Still tis only weather and cricket season will soon be upon us.
Stopped again here, still no accumulations. It's looking more and more likely this is going to effect the areas that where in the amber zone only, as per my forecast earlier. Much ado about nothing for the rest of us I'm afraid.
