  1. Made first contact with a decent publisher today, hopefully a deal can be thrashed out and a publishing date TBC.

  2. Wishing all those on Net Weather a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

  3. Can some people really look at the model output objectively without tantrums and wind ups. It's like reading an adolescents angst column.

As a moderator team member, I realise that we will receive many reports but that comes with the territory. Whilst it is your choice to do what you wish when viewing forum areas, we could just do with more folk either ignoring posts completely (its easy to spot the posts with no likes) or hit the report button where justified. We honestly don't mind. Everyone just needs to think carefully before they post as to whether their post adds anything worthy to the relevant discussion.

I agree with you, like today a few people more or less arguing about the monthly forecast on the BBC and Met office. Why?

I've got massive respect for ALL veterans but, as a weather enthusiast, I've got a particular soft spot for the Arctic convoy vets. Tough, tough people.

I know what you mean SI. For example the metoffice for my location has sunshine all day with a max of 9 and low of 2 for Wesnesday. Beautiful crisp Autumnal weather! I don't know why folk in the South East are moaning about a few days of rain? You guys always get the best of any warmth while my default weather pattern seems to be cloud and rain most of the year!

Meh - its sunny & warm today and long may it continue! Ripening my crops off a treat it is.

Yes true triple x1. We are still discovering what shares the good Earth with us, which makes my comment all the more pertinent.

Indeed SS, I personally think both may play a part, even if one is more dominant. My opinion is subject to change based on scientific findings though.

GLTW, don't think we are, we're just killing many millions more by importing various pests and diseases with the other stuff/trees we import (already at a record high before Ash dieback)..

Lol, it was a truly awful game really with you lot the better side in the first half and us the second half. Both teams are pretty poor though and I can't see any of us pushing for a play off place.

    3. iand61

      iand61

I think the last 3 meetings have shown that there is very little between us now and TBH the Donkey lathers along the M55 are looking like the side to beat this season.

As you said, playoffs are looking a tall order for both of us but a long way to go yet.

      iand61

Bloody IPad, I meant lashers not lathers.

  13. Just got back from a lovely 7 day camping trip with the family, weather was fantastic apart from rain on the day of leaving and packing the tent away. I even managed to walk around unaided without a stick or crutch for the whole time. Unfortunately I'm paying that small price now though.

  14. Just managed 8 miles on the highest setting on the old exercise bike. Really pleased with my progress now I'm still on one crutch but I've surpassed all my consultants and Physio's expectations up to now. Long may it continue. :)

  15. A word to the wise.... Don't ever get cavity wall insulation, in this weather the temp variance between outside and indoors is seven degrees , making it impossible sleeping at night.

  16. I'm hoping when the next warm and sunny spell arrives I'll be abe to get outside and enjoy it, it's not much fun watching the world pass by whilst sat on the sofa with ones leg elevated popped up on Tramadol.

I'm still struggling with ROM, I can only get around sixty degrees bend. Also I've Long way to go before I can do straight leg raises and there's a good chance I'll have to undergo a MUA in the next month or two. The consultant and Physio have said the rehab will be hard and long though. Thanks for asking BB.

oi im not a leftie, ot liberal. i detest that evil woman because of her war againstte people of this country. the communities she let rot, the racist homophobic policies she supported. the hundereds she killed on the belgrano which was complying with orders to leave the exclusion zone. im apolitical, i support freedom and equality.

Yes indeed, it probably should have been privatised as someone recently jested about. It was well improper IMHO and I wasn't interested in the event one little bit.

  23. This recovery from knee op is trying too say the least, I still only have 50 degrees bend and still can't do any straight leg raises. And to cap it all I've been told to expect it to take at least 18 months o make a full recovery.

I'm in it for the long haul, which to be fair my consultant did state. I'm just an inpatient guy, I've spent 10 months on crutches up to now and I long for the day I can get back out hillwalking and mountain biking.

  24. RIP Margaret Thatcher, an inspirational leader who took on both the Argies and Unions and sent them packing.

  25. It's been a great ride but all good things must come to an end, goodbye cold spell one of the best in my lifetime. Here's to wet summer, for all those farmers who haven' t seen much rain. :)
