well im the other side of the solent opposite the isle of wight and think i may of just heard thunder! not 100% sure

on that screen grab looks like something good coming out of cherbourg peninsula, lets hope nocturnal cooling will help bring these to life!!

looks to me its heading for portland,weymouth or between them two and swanage

Is that lot in the channel expected to push eastwards a bit more or we looking beyond that for the south central and west sussex folks?

sorry i dont have any video cameras but i will try and get some lightning pics if they come about, my camera last night had a real rubbish shutter speed so getting my SLR out tonight hopefully if they come

the film TWISTER has just started on itv 2 to get you in the mood! not for tornadoes but the storm aspect lol, looking forward to later tonight come on the storms from france!! .........i hope i enjoyed kept getting woken up by lightning all last night!!

i know adi f gonna go down the beach in a min i think, greatest chance for a while for a storm!

skies getting increasingly dark from southwest towards the isle of wight, it also looks very threatening, wether we will yeild anything is anyone guess but cant help but feel positive, not seen skies like this for ages!!

just looking at euclid lightining strikes that clump of lightning seems to be heading for us south central peeps fingers and everything crossed!

yes good luck everyone! dunno wether to go to portsdown hill or stokes bay? i remember in 2007 we had a mega storm come up over the isle of wight and had over 4000 lightning strikes amazing!!!

i am in gosport and yes it looks like the cloud is filling in from the southwest looks and feels rather thundery

so when today are we expecting things to kick off? im on the south coast in costa del gosport! lol are the possible storms likely to form over this area at all?
