    The met now has two hours of heavy snow symbols on the app for 5,6pm here. The bbc app has 8 hours of light snow symbols and 1 heavy.

    The frustration from Weather enthusiasts being that we are 100% focused on our area all of the time and they are not.

    What apps do people use? I have met, beeb and iPhone app but all are useless. The beeb currently showing more than anything else as regards snowfall which is unusual.

    Well if you believe what the southern biased mod thread says then yes it probably will. I suspect that is based on preference though.

    Thank goodness the snow starved south has seen some I’ve been sick since 11pm last night and now still in bed feeling grim. It sure does look cold outside but I won’t be experiencing it today.

    Well what a turn up. After reading that it was game over for the cold last night we appear to be back on track this morning.

    This greeted me leaving work in Greenfield, Oldham. It’s the third tree down I’ve seen today, one in York and two in Saddleworth. Rivers and streams are very high in the area.
