  1. Had Worse Its been like that for months now at Tadcaster, I drive to York twice a week. The river in York has overflowed and been deeper than the benches on the paths next to it. Beer gardens on the edge flooded etc.
  2. I’ve just been out to the shop and it’s bitter. A strong easterly in the face and snowing quite heavy again. Snow not melting on impact with me so there’s hope yet. Snow on the hills, I’d say about 200 snow line.
  3. Snow getting heavier, still not sticking. I can see waves of white against the hill in the distance, it’s improving.
  4. The met app is a definite improvement, any shift from the hi res models for today?
  5. Chris.R Come on Chris give me some good news, Rochdale/Oldham border. 165m but 300 within walking distance.
  6. northwestsnow Probably as much as me mate, lived in Stockport early 80’s and there was several letdowns. By 91 we’d moved to Mossley and I remember some amazing falls. I’d gone to bed there was no sign of anything, I awoke for my paperwork to a foot of untouched snow. Awesome
  7. northwestsnow Knowing your area well im sure you’ll be ok if not as much as the same elevation over the hill.
  8. russwirral 100% this All we had to go off was the countryfile forecast, teletext forecast and standard weather forecasts for the next 24-48hrs back in the 80’s and 90’s. Oh and Lamppost’s
  9. Winter Hill Living in my location it’s not what’s happening at home that causes the bedlam. The motorway gets closed at the next Junction which is the highest motorway junction in the country. Everything gets diverted off the motorway and onto my road which is the quickest route over the tops. The only problem with that is it goes from 150-350m in only a few miles, trucks get stuck and everything is quickly gridlocked. During BFTE it was gridlocked for two days, even last year I got a snow day out of about two inches at my location.
