    for saying goodbye to T3 , an amazing day for me to meet some great chasers/photographers and I think there was a stunning storm similar to Calhan in there somewhere .....time to catch some

    Illinois has been mentioned but we'll have a nice 3 day or so gap to get there. If we go any further west I'll be trying to fit in a shopping trip in New York

    I would bring a jar of instant for the hotels. There is gas station coffee for the road which most of the time is ok. Depends when you normally drink it

    Hi Paul, I'm currently on T3 and will also be on T4 . I have to admit after today I actually questioned whether I'd want to spend the next couple of weeks out here chasing. At the end of the day we know the risks and sadly today was the worst case scenario. But what we see out here is a spectacular experience you can't get anywhere else and I couldn't give that up despite hearing todays exceptional events unfold over the radio.

    I thought there was a toll free phone for the hotel at the airport ? Happy to talk to the Best Western to warn them on your behalf. I just need an idea of numbers (14?) and an arrival time

    On the topic of hotels, Travelodge Terminal 5 are charging £21 for a room. According to the website National Express run a hotel hoppa to the airport which is 2 miles away for £4...A bit of a bargain if you're not a morning person!

    Fair point..I was just surprised to see you mention the States East of I-30 as the melt from the severe winter should add significant ground moisture into the Central Plains. It's only a tiny piece of the puzzle but assuming the Jet Stream doesn't decide to apply for permanent residency in Canada I think we could be in for a more traditional season possibly more Northerly inclined.

    I'm a definite but the Old Man is maybe...depending how far he gets with the laminate flooring he's been promising all year would be laid in time for Xmas
