  1. Nice briefing, although I was waiting for Paul to yell "WAKE UP!!!" at the end lol
  2. That's not what I was hoping to read or hear about, but sadly it's just one of things that is likely to happen in a tornado outbreak event like this.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. Alot of the damage looks to have been around EF2/EF3, but as you say there are definitely spots with damage that looks to be around Mod-Strong EF4, especially since some houses shown on Sky5 have been leveled, which is pretty intense. I really hope in all my heart that there has been no fatalities anywhere from today's tornado outbreak.
  4. Hey Ian I'm glad to hear you guys are ok and that you guys bagged a few trunks and a wedge today, well done guys. I was wondering roughly how big that wedge tornado was because on the radar it looked as though it was close to a mile wide or more at 1 point, as the radar image of the hook blob, litterally had a very well defined 'eye' in it's core and so I couldn't help thinking that it must've been a monster. I just heard that there is a tornado that is still on the ground in OK somewhere and has been for about an hour now, definitely a hectic day already and it'll be interesting to find out just how many touchdowns there have been by the end of the day.
  5. The amount of tornado reports so far is crazy and yet, it's still early in the evening. I hope the guys are ok and are staying safe as they're out on the road.
  6. Yes, I lost the live stream connection also, but hopefully it'll return soon
  7. Ahh, no worries pal  from what I breifly saw on Mike Phelps' live stream of that monster wedge that was beginning to form, coupled with the Nexrad radar images of the hook, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a nasty large wedge tornado that has been responsible for some of that damage, but unfortunately without confirmation of whether this would be the case, this view is nothing more than a guess at this point. Hopefully there'll be some more confirmation of the damage locations and toughdown locations as the day (Night for us all in the UK & Ireland) rolls on.
  8. No worries John, I'm glad you guys are back onto the main highways again and have got your connection back  It looks like the cell you guys are at it's beginning to weaken somewhat, but I could be wrong
  9. EDIT - the GPS has finally updated again  The team are doing great so far, having bagged 2 tornadoes so far already and I suspect they may very well get another 1 or 2 yet, but only time and the weather will tell
  10. Wahay , thank you for the heads up Louise Edit - it looks like the team are blasting S on I35 to that tornado warned cell that is W of Fairfax, OK
  11. Tornado warning just issued to the cell near I35 to the S of the Newkirk County cell, which is one of the cells I mentioned earlier.
  12. Just got this Nexrad image and there definitely looks to be something on the ground. http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?zoommode=zoom&num=1&delay=15&rbscale=0.125&scale=0.500&noclutter=0&ID=VNX&type=N0R&lat=0&lon=0&label=you&showstorms=0&map.x=407&map.y=230&centerx=333&centery=264&lightning=0&smooth=0&showlabels=1&rainsnow=0 Current Enid Vance AFB NEXRAD Radar Map Weather Underground.htm
  13. Sadly, I'm getting that same feeling and to be honest, I really hope that if it is gonna be another monster wedge, that it will stay clear of any towns or populated areas.
  14. Large wedge tornado beginning to devlope reported on Mike Phelps' live stream, which seems to back up what's shown on the Nexrad
  15. I have this weird gut feeling that is telling me the 2x cells that are beginning to fire up to the S, are worth keeping an eye on, since they're both completely isolated from the cluster of supercells that are already fairly well established. Stay safe out there guys and good luck
  16. I've been hoping for the same thing Louise lol, but I agree with you totally about the streaming quality being excellent I asked the guys about this on the facebook group page and they said that they'll switch it on if their bandwidtch permits and so, I'm hoping their connection improves in strength so they can switch the sound on
  17. yes , it's back here too That supercell is looking mighty awesome too Perhaps we'll see a monster wedge today. although hopefully it'll stay out in the open plains where no-one will get hurt
  18. I agree totally with MAF , as I too followed the live stream last night, as well as on previous days before joining up and every moment has been awesome, especially enjoying the banter and laughs that you guys were having, on top of being able to interract with you guys via the forum threads May I have the permission from those who had taken the pics posted in this thread, to make a Slide-show video for the chase team members and forum members to enjoy, as something to help keep the memories alive and to reflect on an awesome tour Btw, that challenge offer that I made for the Sherminator still stands and will do right until the end of tour 4 and so, there is plenty of time to take on the 72oz monster steak
  19. That was definitely an awesome supercell last night and the pics back that up nicely Big congrats on waiting the choce to wait it out for that one as it proved well worth it and as a few others have said already, it's been the icing on the cake for what looked to be an awesome tour For those of you travelling back to the UK, I hope you all have a safe and speedy flight home Roll on Monday for Tour No. 2
  20. Agreed Right now they're travelling E bound on Higway 4, and look to be punching through the southern portion of the cell and I suspect they're getting a fair amount of rain You're doing a great job guys, stay safe EDIT - Latest Infrared satelite image
  21. They're just S of the cell's core and are travelling Nward on highway 15
