Morning everyone, I will say morning now even though I have been up 4 hours already. The last thing we need is another wind storm, as I am sure some trees would have been weakened by Sundays storm which could exacerbate the damage of this low pressure system even if the winds arn't as strong in comparison..Someone stick the kettle on I need something to warm my hands, they are freezing!!- 832 replies

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho. It's off to work I go!Warming up my car and it currently says 2.5c (changes in increments of .5c) and no frost which makes my life easier, also the charts didn't cement the 'St Judes Storm' until the morning of, so anything at this range could be hit or miss who knows. Edit: as of typing this its gone down to 2.0c.- 832 replies

Sounds delicious!I am currently cooking garlic and oregano wedges, mustard grilled pork chops and a side of petits poi.It felt alot colder last night than it has of late, I think the slight breeze made it feel worse.- 832 replies

We had a wind gust of 64mph here in a pretty built up area, the only damage I have was to my glasses. I can't complain at all.My dad saw a huge transformer blow this morning near Hemel Hempstead, not sure if power was out there or not.- 832 replies

Well, im slightly intoxicated as my mum made me drink what was left of her alcohol stash as shes going on a diet tomorrow (Like she needs it she goes to the gym everyday) So if my grammar is not correct you know why!I am keeping my back door open probably a bad idea as it faces directly southwest. Bit of a flooding issue right now in my kitchen but I have a large blanket inplace to soak up the water!IF, it stalls then we could be looking at some major flooding issues let alone wind issues.- 1,436 replies

Possible severe storm Monday 28th October 2013
Mesoscale replied to Coast's topic in Storms & Severe Weather
Winds will probably be from the south originally then moving in a north easterly direction before the wind direction changes and comes out of the north west or directly from the north, It just depends as the air moves around the low pressure center, you will have to wait until the models get into a more accurate time frame before knowing. Depending if it shifts or not you could be looking at the center of the low (calm ish) or you could be further out who knows.
