  1. Pleasant day here with temp upto 20c. Went for short walk to see elderly neighbour on way back saw both Lancasters fly past over Southend.

I went to Eastbourne yesterday to see them, they came past a few times with a hurricane and a spitfire, it was a great day but it rained for quite a bit of it. My favourite was definatley the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4, it was so powerful sounding and it just rattled in your lungs. Incredible.Feels autumnal out there today, considering its 18 degrees this would have felt warm in spring.

  2. Loving this summer, hasn't been particularly sunny though, reminds me of July in Florida, sunny in the morning but starts getting cloudy as the day goes on as convection sets in.I think I have seen more lightning this weekend then the whole of last year to be honest, the only problem is we were hit directly only once, Not that I am complaining. How long are we anticipating this to carry on? Its a bit hot at night but I think that's making it more bare able as I am now getting used to sleeping in a room that reaches 28c every night if not higher.Coincidently 28.4C here at the moment with a dew point of 17c with 50% humidity.

  3. Are we talking supercells tonight? The shelf cloud (could have been a roll cloud it was too dark to see whether or not it was attached to the storm) was insane, I have never seen one in the all the time I have been interested in weather, the lightning was intense with one of the bits of lightning beading out. Didn't get a whole lot of rain though probably the best night time lightning storm for a good 10 to 15 years around here, I have only seen one storm that surpass last nights and that was in the Bahamas before Hurricane Irene.

  4. Well last night was awesome, I am heading out for Nando's soon, extra hot chicken! There will be a storm later and im not just talking about one outside! ;)Also I dont really think you can blame the Meto, we live in a very unpredictable country, meteorologically speaking.BBC is using the word 'Thunderstorm' in their forecast!! What is going on?I found this and it made me laugh:http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/science-technology/attention-seeking-weather-told-to-grow-up-2014071888720
