Too far out but odd sign of improvement. This spring has been absolutely dire. -

God,is there ever gonna be any let up with this awful weather?. Vile output all the way. We have got to be cursed. -
Absolute vile output imo. Someone's gotta be having a big laugh at us somewhere. You really couldn't make this lemone up.

All I know is it was one of the biggest let downs ever for me. All the decent sugs and potential we had. Iberian high is here to rule I fear

Not good output for cold, snow(if you're still looking for that) or spring warmth. It's been a very depressing 8 months or so and looks like carrying on.....zzzzz -
You've gotta laugh. When it's cold enough for wintry/ snow showers from this wind direction. I can see all the showers passing south to the Pennines. When it's not cold enough(today),we get battered with heavy rain/sleet showers I can honestly say, this winter has been one of the worst in my life. I've detested it. Well, this last 9 months or so tbh. All it's done, bar the odd week is rain.

Mike Poole could it be to do with the massive undersea volcanic eruption bear Tonga a couple of years ago, going on.? Read one or two things on this. Might have thrown the models a curve ball?. -
I'm personally looking for warmth already. Can't wait until the sun gets high enough in the sky to trigger spring showers off. See some great cloudscapes. Obviously with drier warmer spells in between. Final warming will probably bring dull, cool easterlys no doubt

I don't even wish it rip. Absolute horror show with wet dominating. We deserve a settled, warm spring for putting up with that excuse of a winter. I swear the weather gods always have a right laugh at the British isles.....

Absolutely horrible outlook from most suites(I'm looking for warmer and drier now). Absolutely suck to death of soggy ground. I'll bob back in a week or so and hopefully see something more settled in the horizon. -
Low pressure just sticks to these shores like a limpet. What an appalling winter it has been. What can go wrong,ALWAYS does. Ready for Iberian high winters in the future everyone?. It's not like we have decent summers also. Watch high lat blocking appears late march,April and may followed by a washout summer with a southerly tracking jet. You know it's the favourite.......

Absolutely nothing on offer for a half decent cold spell. Forget 10+ days ect. This winter has been dire and defied alot of decent signals. Called winter over a couple of weeks ago due to the winter following the same pattern of not been conducive to hlb IMO. Been great to read informative posts from Tamara and Eagle especially. Goodluck to the odd few chasing a fruitless chase rest of the season. I feel in a warming climate,Iberian heights are here to rule. Anyway,a bust for most predictions, models. Alot of learning to do. See you in November for another(no doubt) disappointment -

Dreadful output across the suites if it's cold you're after. Can see nothing if note in the reliable and tbh, further out. Day 10+ charts hardly come to fruition and the means ect too. I'm ready to call it off now and bring on spring warmth. Goodluck to those swimming against the tide for winter....... AN awful excuse of a winter imo. -
Gowon more down than up lol.

To me,it's more or less nailed on that end of winter is gonna be average with the odd cool spell and mild spell. This is going by the patterns this winter so far, telecon sigs not producing and the met o outlooks(I slated em for missing December cold snap)diluting colder prospect's. I find amusing when one or two(experienced)posters in the mod thread say this is the direction of travel and this will happen by so so date.......... These have fallen flat on their faces. But you try point out the cold bias and blinkerdness(in a decent) way using charts ect,you get a smart response lol. Gonna avoid that thread until next silly season I think. This season should be a learning curve for all of us but especially the, cold IS coming brigade.

feb1991blizzard Yes, following the pattern alot of winter, then vanishes. I personally prefer to keep the model outlook to 5 days or so. I know there's nothing wrong with drooling over day10 + for some. -

Hope allowed, just read on the weather channel in US they expect a flat zonal set up from next week replacing the record warmth in parts with a trough in the east. That'll trigger up the jet won't it?. -

Met4Cast Yes,a truly awful chart. Only saving grace is the op has been on the fairly mild side of the pack frequently. Them blasted Iberian heights
