  1. Huge cumulus has bgan shooting up to our Northwest, gone up like a rocket! looks like we shall be doing a chase in the hampshire region with live stream!
  2. Thought i would share this with you from last night, my friend has aloud me to share, this shot was from the Storms that was passing the channel islands yesterday evening, we could see it crystal clear aswell from the South part of the Island!
  3. I wouldnt be surprised if some Elevated showers moved up from the South later on this Evening and Tonight, a few of the high res charts are picking up on some showers developed in the Channel which will be Elevated. there was a shower that developed too about 6am this Morning which produced Lightning which could be heard from the Island.
  4. Nicee little treat tonight, end up watching the lightning from the Channel Island storms, the view was crystal clear! Saw some beauties!
  5. If i didnt have my job interview today, i would so be chasing , we had it all planned to chase in the areas these showers/storms have developed/hit!
  6. A forgotten photo i was meant to share from yesterdays storm surge on the Isle of Wight, from Sea grove bay
  7. Referring to Mapants quote to me in the last thread, I think there is a risk of showers here around Mid morning but i think they will be fairly light - moderate in nature Middle of the Island may develop its own afternoon shower if we can create our own land warmth which is very common on the island too! Though the main interest is definitely North Devon and Dorset. Lets see what the 12z brings!
  8. I think tomorrow needs an eye keeping on across Dorset, North Devon, Somerset and Bristol area, some strong areas of Cape and LI, some very intense looking surface based showers showing on the charts, relatively chilly uppers with temperatures aswell around 15-16'c, think there could be a few surprises in them areas tomorrow! North Devon to me looks the most interesting.
  9. If this was May/June or July, my excitement will probably go over board!
  10. Any showers that develop between now and mid level will be most likely the best time/chance for anything thundery, after midnight it will just be a general area of rain.West side of the main area of rain too will be most like thundery, just depends how far east any thunderyness is willing to get.
  11. Some showers have developed down by the channel islands and i expect some more elevated showers to develop as the evening goes on and wouldnt be surprise if they produce, we will be live streaming if anything kicks off so stay tuned people!
  12. Crazy storm surger around the islands coast today, got these shots earlier from Nettlestone
  13. Would be incredible if that pulled off on the 6z so early in the year! Agreeing with you 09, would be a Elevated on affair, also some decent Mid Level Cape and LI pushing up towards the South and South East too
  14. Well that was a fun squall line! Started off as Icy rain- hail, then got heavier and heavier, had 2 rumbles of thunder and saw 1 flash! As it cleared threw a few snow flakes was thrown into the mix, with extremely strong winds! More of that please
  15. Beautiful looking Cumulus over Culver about 20 minutes ago, 5 minute prior to it the base had a UFO shape, gutted i just missed it! but here ya go guys, taking off my phone
  16. Saying that Northerlies in Spring has their benefits, where the sun is strong enough for Land convection, Northerlies can bring the whole package, Id love a slack Northerly spring, Land convective snow showers, hail, Thunderstorms, even thundersnow, i.e happened twice down here March 2007 and April 2008. They can be fun in spring Northerlies and Hailman Gary smiles and agrees with that xD
  17. Had some insane hail pass threw the island about an hour and a half ago! some places had upto 2-4cms of hail! incredible scenes! My friend even made this little hailman! Say hello to Gary...
  18. The line of precipitation moving towards us now im very confident on more hail! Thats if it remains and makes it! Definitlya lot cooler today Temperature 7.1'c
  19. What a lively night that was! here some screen captures from mine and my friends local forecasting page from last night
  20. Always a good thing i reckon, he will remember dates when so and so happened, pretty legit me thinks dont think hes doing it to punish himself. On another note slack northerlies though id happily take as time goes on tbh
  21. One bonus of it in spring, is the potential convective snow showers and bigger chance of thunder with it too Each to their own eh, this winter has been quite remarkable with some of the high temperatures, though I would of happily taken your 1 day of the white stuff
  22. Just when you think it will be over, the white wasteland will return in spring
  23. As much id love to have cold weather, I think this is pretty incredible as an all round weather Enthusiast. Very interesting indeed
  24. I also forgot to share a photo with you all from yesterday, we went into the woods in Firestone copse Forest, was as frost yesterday but we had a cool little Misty thing going on in the forest which was capturing the sunrays, but I wanted to try something different and went for an elementary type of shot
  25. Absolutely stunningly very cold frosty/icy Morning, Most of the island ranged between 0'c to around -3'c but there were some parts of the island got down to -6 - -7'c, so we decided to head out to see what photo oppurtunities we could find, it was extremely cold and was not easy to hole the camera for too long, but I manage to come across this beautiful little seen Newtown Creek, towards the North West Part of the Island, the water was also partly frozen
