  3. I have started to get that winter buzz now, was watching snow videos last night of last december and would do anything for something like that again. I reckon this winter will be mixed with some cold spells and some milder interludes, ill put my guess of winter forecast a bit later.
  4. Looks like we are way up compared to last year snow wise, Lovely jubleyyyyyyyyy!
  5. It is gpoing be windy not had a strong gale for a while so this will be welcome for me
  6. I know I was just saying, im more looking forward to tomorrows weather, GFS showing gales
  7. Is it me or does GFS 06z show an indian summer towards FI, some warm looking charts from what I can see. In the meantime some very unsettled weather by the look of it, especially tomorrow with risk of gales! Wouldn't mind a bit of that
  8. The Difference with that snow patch compared to last year is that it is slightly bigger than last year and its a day earlier
  9. Definatly looks like new Ice to me, will be interesting to see it all develop leading upto winter the Snow and Ice
  10. I love this, this was fun to look at last year Am looking forward to the updates
  11. Fair enough paul, that would be pretty good I reckon good luck with that as well
  12. Here is my view on the new look I will be complete honest here, but I am not the biggest fan of the new look sorry PAUL! I admit I prefered the last one, but I find it quite confusing to find my wayy around. Im sure I will get used to it but to be honest I reckon I will still prefer the old look. Again sorry Paul, just my opinion and I wish you luck that it goes well
  13. Models looking fairly unsettled for the weekend, especially for sunday with some showers/rain pushing in by the look of it. Tomorrow and Saturday not looking to bad, with temperatures reaching possible 21-22c for South east tomorrow but slightly cooler further North and West. Saturday looks ok but with the risk of showes about for the North and West, and feeling fairly cool, but not to bad in the South East. After 120 hours looks like high pressure could start and try to build in from the South West All in all it looks fairly mixed me thinks!
  14. Currently 23.9c but 25.4c in Newport, its sunny and feeling very warm. Some mid level cloud aswell about
  15. Models pretty wet for the South and east on thursday, alot fresher feel after tomorrow. Looking fairly average in my opinion from thursday avergae, with some rain, some sunshine, some wind and feeling ok temperature wise whenever the sun makes an appearence
  16. Another fantastic very warm day here, sunshine is very strong and so many people down the beach. Current temperature is at 24.9c in my area, but inland IOW at 26.6c
  17. How does the first 15 days look poor, this week is first week of August and it looks beautiful, with some nice hot weather and good thunderstorm potential!
  18. It is cloudy with light rain falling, it is not all that warm either with temperature at 14.4c
  19. Had a Thundery shower around 9am this morning, produced a couple of CG's and some awsome crackly type thunder classic surface based stuff
  20. I was just saying pal, it was just the way people how poor models look at times etc Im sorry if i took it the wrong way my bad.
  21. Why don't people stop wrting off summer and enjoy nice weather we got now, the models look lovely over the next few days. Summer hasn't been too bad this spell is perfect and arrived straight after the lovely hot weekend we had that went out with some of the biggest thunderstorms we had in years since 2006. Sorry if I sound like I am moaning, just people seem to keep writing off summer when just had an amazing spell of weather and is in one now Sorry Mods!
  22. My mum complains a lot that she gets a load of headaches just before thunderstorms or if there is a change in the atmospheric pressure as well. During thunder periods she always says the air feels heavy and makes her feel tired and feel low down and with headaches. I get the odd headache every now and then, like the other day i got a headache just before the thunderstorms hit but didn't really notice it because I was getting excited, though sometimes I think I can give my mum headache when storms are on the way too because thats all I go on about haha
  23. Not a bad looking GFS for the up coming weekend, looks as though high pressure is pushing in and looks to be warm and settled for much of England, Wales and parts of scotland Temperatures look to be in the range between 22- 26c for a good majority of britain apart from the far North west of Scotland by the looks of it. Into next week looks quite interesting as low pressure pushes in over us and looks to show potential of Heavy and potentially thundery showers for much of the country by the of it. I dont really know what to make of FI to be honest apart from it looks quite average but with a lot of low pressure over us or close by but thats FI and will likel keep changing Lots of Summer still to go so here is hoping to more spells like we just had
  24. Well done to everyone today who has had a storm, and i had my fun as well today and was a very pleasant suprise to wake up too, best year of storms here since 2006 To those who havent had storms, don't give up yet there is a lot of summer to go yet, so stay positive I am so happy
  25. What a morning that was well between 10 am and 2pm! Had thunderstorms go off between all that time, had about 5 of them pass over. Storm number 1: was a cracking storm, it had constant thunder and lightning for about 45 mins to an hour, it actually produces hail and some amazing CG'S, thunder was quality! Storm number 2: This wasn't a direct hit but it did clip us, we had some loud thunder and some pretty awsome lightning, thunder and lightning was ever 10-20 seconds, some fairly close strikes, it also let out 3 positive strike and sounds pretty damn amazing Storm number 3: This storm actually developed over the IOW it self, it developed of the main thunderstorm that was already approching us, this little fella produce some very close CG' right on top of us the thunder was very loud indeed and shook the place! Storm Number 4: This was the longest lasting storm and probably the best one, we could here this one rumbling away miles away getting closer and closer, as it was getting closer the thunder was like every 5-10 seonds, this produced many multiple CG'S one of the strikes produced 5 strikes in 1 :o, the lightning and thunder was getting louder and louder, when it got between Ventnor downs, along Sandown bay to culver where I was, we had witnessed some amazing CG'S, most of them multiple strikes, the thunder was car shakers and very cool and deep! it did lose some of its intensity as it went by us, and wasn't at frequent but was still letting out the odd CG every and then This storm lasted a good hour or so. Storm number 5: This one didn't quite hit us but it clipped the far east of the IOW by bembridge, this one was qutie a good one, the lightning was rather quite frequent, ever 7-10 seconds and the thunder was constant. This still produced some heavy rain and the CG's was quite amazing but missed a load of them. So all in all it was a very pleasant suprised considering we wasn't to have anything according to all charts and the Met office, and ended up proving them all wrong just goes to show you never know with the weather, always expect the unexpected, this actually boosts my thunderstorm count upto 14/15 i think but about 11th day of thunder I am one happy person after last nights depressingness Good luck to everyone else too and enjoy the storms
