  1. Thunderrr oh wait no sorry I believe I just let one off haha, not really. Yeh sorry, anyways we had some pretty heavy downpours this morning and one was with a rumble of thunder accoridng to a few of my mates but I was in college so couldn't hear it.
  2. Sweet, something to watch! looks like anywhere alone the South West, South Coast and South East have a chance of something interesting over the next few days! Looks like I could in a decent area again, I hope so Jane Ill send you a storm as well
  3. To be honest I am enjoying this Atlantic type weather, had thunderstorms last week and the same again with Atlantic throwing more lows at us this week. I love the wind and they is always or mostly some sort of actiion in the weather with Atlantic lows. Don't want the cold just yet I would rather wait till Mid December onwards which is 1 and a half months time Anyways back on topic, and unsettled look to the models over the next couple of days, a few days of strong winds, heavy rain about risk of thundery showers especially along the Coasts, mainly Southern and South West coast by the look of it. The Azores linking up with Scandi high by the look of it, so all in all I reckon remaining fairly mild by day, some chillier nights though I reckon. End of Fi show a weak looking greenland high but I guess this will change lol. Patience is all that is needed for the cold weather fans, I am sure it will be with us before you know it!
  4. Tell you what, I just learnt quite a bit from this information, thankyou from me aswell CH and IS for this. Very Interesting read indeed!
  5. Oooo think I may keep an eye on this one Come on Stormssssssssss
  6. Going by last year, End of November on wards Models do show sort of change, with a more easterly looking picture but would guess it will still feel quite mild. Plenty of time yet guys, hurry up December!
  7. Most hated weather would have to be biting North easterlies/ easterlies in the winter where temperatures get no lower than say 4c, and no higher than like 5c, along with strong winds and just dull cloudy skies, as nothing happens and is a pain to walk in. Now a Snowy Easterly or NE'erlie is different haha.
  8. Jane will get a Thunderstorm soon I know it As scary as this sounds, I reckon it will look amazing to watch it pass over but also worrying :/
  9. I agree Nick cant beat the good ol symbols, just seeing a symbol with a lightning strike or a snow flake under neath makes it more exciting to look at the maps
  10. Well the previous 2 hours has just rounded off a fantastic day even better, had another cracking little thunderstorm, crazy updraft, funnel cloud and more hail. after that we had had an absolute monster hailstorm with large Hail, this left behind a very bright rainbow which looked stunning, then we had another smaller hail shower afterwards. Downside of today was that the co op in shanklin had its roof collapse due to the rainfall as it was so bad :/
  11. Wow only by a few miles, sorry you missed out keep your fingers crossed for next time I am sure it will be your turn Yes I saw a few heavy showers over your end, It was if the showers intensified as soon between Ventnor Downs and Culver, and in Sandown bay. Also that hail woke me up this morning I shot out of bed and was like WHAT THE HELL IS THAT! felt like our house was going to collapse lol
  12. Was amazing but lightning struck a bit too close for comfort as I was along sea front watching the waves lol Jane keep your fingers crossed as you never know
  13. Woohoo, what a cracking morning it has been, monster hailstorms, thunder and lightning, floods about waves crashing over the wall like 20ft, we have had absolutely everything!
  14. Wow what a morning, have had some unbelivable hail storms leaving coverings everywhere, 3 cracks of thunder a funnel cloud and about 200 odd CB'S everywhere, god I love this weather and October!
  15. Had some impressive downpours earlier, with some unbelievable cloud structures and formations, didnt hhear any thunder or see any lightning, but there was some reported on the Island
  16. Just remember November 2009 which was unsettled and very mild in my opinion, and then look what happened end of december and beggining of January, just becasue we might not get as much cold this november, doesn't December, January and February could be cold. In my opinion I am going for a cold end of December and a cold and snowy January
  17. Don't see why people would getting disappointed in cold not showing yet, still over a month to go until winter starts, to be honest I haven't seen many people dissapointed as of yet I like the look of the models to be honest, I love autumnal storms with gales and heavy rain. I think a little patience will be needed
  18. Ahhh good to be back in the Storm area, hope we get some thunderstorms, good luck fellow storm lovers
  19. Dont worry yet guys, it is only the end of october, would rather get this type of weather out of the way sooner, rather than later. The models looking very unsettled but am looking forward to it, as it means excitement and action in weather, which hasn't been much of as of late. End of November onwards is when I will start looking for the cold, but in the meantime I am going to enjoy some proper autumn weather coming up
  20. Hmm good write up backtrack I swear you said it would be a very mild winter on your status update thing lol
