  1. Well there is no doubt that the weather seems exciting this Evening but I think this is taking too far with these cumulus. Sorry I had to share this haha, took this off my iphone
  2. Lightning has jsut been spotted by my mate and some others jsut off th wst coast of the island, tonight is looking very interesting
  3. The rain band that had been predictied today from models and other forecasts wasn't supposed to be that big, was always gonna be quite heavy and a thinish kind of band running ahead of the thundery activity, but the main interest is whats likely to develop behind the this rain, any showers that develop could well be heavy and thudnery, so I dont think people should worry yet, all high res charts show the main risk between the hours of 3-8pm
  4. An interesting line of cells have developed in the channel down the channel Islands, these seem of developed rapidly, the ones to the north of Alderney looks almost ready to go, but have a feeling atm there is a cap which may prevent these from developing further for now, but i maybe wrong
  5. Wow latest 12z has another Thundery plume Saturday into Sunday, is summer going to go out with a bang! Lets hope so!
  6. Haha im sat on the beach getting cloud burnt Some beefy downpours showing on the radar at the moment, especially to my East and South East
  7. Indeed, wasnt loads but thunder was quite loud As if I made it up, you only have to look back on the net weather radar, that picks up the strikes aswell I was on about lol...
  8. I knew it was looking interesting, Thunder and Lightning and torrential raian right now here!
  9. Ok seriously I really think Tomorrow needs a big eye kept on it! Looks nasty, i generally feel there could be some nasty thundery showers in the South and South East
  10. Tomorrow is really Interesting me, torrential showers i reckon, theres a lot of good wind sheer, and decent wind cape and LI. I think we are looking at more funnel clouds/ waterspouts or possible the odd Tornado in a couple of areas. Also a good risk of Thunder too
  11. Strange Morning, had a hit from more storms in west wight, from the ramains of that MCS too, then jut literally got back and just had 2 overhead strikes and loud thunder again!
  12. My mate again has given me permission to share you this from this Evenings Storm, the cgs were pretty damn powerful from this little fela
  13. Waheeyy got our very own localised storm! Was a pretty decent thing! Some awesome multi strike CGs, and a micro burst passed right through!
  14. First shower has started firing up really quickly to my South in the Channel, Im keeping an eye on this, on Sat24 its gone up very quick
  15. Newport on the IOW is at 28.1'c and Wooten is also at 28!, loads and loads of AcCas around aswell!
  16. Got AcCas round here aswell, also loads to our South and South West, theres evening some mid level cumulus to the right on the last picture
  17. Hmm right Smack bang in the middle of that Level 1, we will see, I do have a feeling some nasty cells may pop during evening hours too
  18. I reckon its going to be a warm September and quite plumey too, and then turn unsettled at the end of the Month so im going for 14.8'c
  19. Here are my latest thoughts on this set up. I am actually more confident on the potential of this event, first off I am actually a little Interested in Saturday Morning too, I wouldn't be surprised if some odd dry storms pop up in a couple of places, number one there looks as though there could be some good shear, there is also a lot more heat with this set up than the last too. Saturday Evening, Night and Early Sunday Morning: There looks like there's a proper trough line coming which looking at it would bring a better potential of some more potent storms. Temperatures in the High 20's, high due points, really good wind sheer (Convergence zones). Sunday Morning also looks interesting. This just my thoughts And no this isn't just for where I live, this is in general as a whole for other places too.
  20. Im quite liking the look of this Weekend more than last week, there is a few other factors showing on this compared too last week, this time there seems to be a lot more heat further West across the majority of the Country and also convergence zones, along with decent ML cape and even some SB cape too. Should be some good cloud structures with the good wind sheer if this pulls off
  21. You dont always need lots of SB Cape for really good convective days, there is a lot of other factors to that is also good for some awesome convective weather, especially August and September. Other factors also include Wind sheer Mid Level cape and lifted Transitional weather fronts too, such as cold fronts and stuff. Also During End of Summer and through Autumn, good surface based cape confines back to mainly coastal waters, due to the land is becoming and the Sea is Warmer, this tends to happen more During Evening, Night and Early hours Hope I have explained this ok
  22. Had some extremely Heavy downpours just over an hour and a half ago, with an almighty crack of thunder rippled through the sky! Was just the one lot though
