temps and humidity are riseing very quick now .. its boil in the bag weather
.... but we need more heat -
my local spots are westbury white horse ,roundway hill devizes ,lords hill nr warminster . redhorn salisbury plain , anywhere on the mendips . bath uni , upton scudamore.milk hill and tan hill..

andy i am thinking of streaming the storm live from the white horse ..do you think it will be worth it ) i have 100 gig of 4g data and a hd gopro copy

seams to be more humid now in the southwest .. just been to the lakes and back ..and the air has that sticky feel to it ..

the glastonbury 2005 storm ..sat in a 3man tent with carbon fiber poles one a high spot of the site behind the dance vilage with lightning zipping overhead at low levels and thunder louder than fat boy slim ...we watched that cell form over n france (kinda hacked the site wifi) and dead on midnight lightning was seen ...then all hell let lose ...
... does el nino effect storm strength in the uk ???

morning all, lovely storms for a good chunk of the night, currently a nice line of lines stretching from Bournemouth on a line due north, missing here by 10 miles or so, but new cells developing around the Salisbury area look to be heading for my area in the next hour
have you slept yet Andy?.....I got a couple of hours from around 4-7am!
managed a few hours ..its the rainfall totals im now worried about....

Just had the closest lightning bolt I have experienced! I thought it had calmed down a bit then out of nowhere an extemely close strike. Just saw the flash and instant boom.
bloody hekk dave that was real close..shotgun thunder and that lightning was so close i felt it .....plus my mum is flooding in southwick ...

Went from thundering and lightning with intents down pour to still and silent all of a sudden really eerie,

ok, that multicell cluster is starting to push away to the north now, lightning and thunder on the wane....eyes now down south as more elevated convection is coming ashore into Dorset with another cluster of storms developing on the Brest Peninsular.....behind that is an developing mesoscale system developing to the south of Rennes in western France
close encounters of the third kind for us maybe ?

more storms brewing either side of the english channel, plus an MCS in the making over western France that should give us a show heading towards dawn/breakfast time if it holds together
i better put a pot of coffee on .......and suddenly it all goes quiet and still ..horror movie style lol

you're not kidding Andy, I'm buzzing.....who needs paid for drugs when you get the same effect with a big storm!
Still flashing and banging away (the storm, not me, I hasten to add...lol) and the promise of more to come later on!
we have more ?? really ?? its still humid to hekk and back ..its not even fresher..still and sultry ..

what can I say?....awesome, just awesome.......so much lightning and thunder.....got about 3gb of video footage to upload....no sleep for me tonight!!
