  1. Oh yes I know it's rare but possible hence why I never dismissed the chance of showers making it although the weather gods thought they'd take the micky and send them either side of my location
  2. I hate relying on showers, some managed to make it across from Wales but they passed to the north and south of my location. Still at least I was right and NK was wrong about having no chance of those showers making it across wales last night
  3. Big let down this cold spell is, when the showers did finally make it across from Wales they passed just to the North and south of here, typical lol.
  4. Radar shows something falling Imby but can't see anything looking at the streetlight outside.
  5. Been checking the radar last few hours, I've been seeing exactly what's been happening to those showers, unfortunately. Still, you never know what will happen through the early hours.
  6. Reverse psychology, I like it, saying it won't reach this far meaning they probably will now lol
  7. Shame the short sea track across the Bristol channel isn't enough to generate showers
  8. Thank god this rubbish cold rain is about to clear this area , my interest lies in the snow showers forecasted later.
  9. Why can't the ECM 240h chart every verify, that would be a classic blizzard into the south west!
  10. Wouldn't be surprised if we had some sleet here before that front pulls away going by the forecast and east of the m5 sounds good, I'm only about a thousand yards west from junction 21 lol
  11. Plenty of snow showers were packing in on the forecast map so who knows, might have to go off chasing these showers if they're not hitting this area
  12. So according to the national forecast I just watched I expect I'm too far West to see any snow from the event tomorrow and then it shows plenty of snow showers packing in and it looks like I'm just a tad too far east to be affected by those but they were oh so close on the map! Oh the irony if that's how it plays out lol.
  13. That's all fine if your the type of person who's mood doesn't swing wildly with each and every model run that comes out, those who posted in the mod thread early this morning though should follow my advice as there was lots of downbeat posts from the usual suspects (nobody who frequents this regional btw) and over the top reactions to what was being shown by the 00z runs lol
  14. Why are people over analysing the charts for tomorrow and what the met app on their phone shows, the forecast for tomorrow is changing frequently, the one I've just seen on bbc news channel is different and not as good for some parts of the west country to the one this morning and I've no doubt they'll change again between now and tomorrow morning. My advice, sit back and enjoy the ride, if you see snow then great and If you don't then oh well, plenty of time left and the post earlier by Tamara in the mod thread sounded very interesting for the future.
  15. Awesome national weather forecast I've just seen on bbc news, shows a rain to snow event tomorrow for large parts of the south even Imby.
  16. We've had snow showers here from a n/nw wind before now, Dec 2010 was a northerly with a NW element, can also remember being hit by snow showers in March one year and that was also from a n/nw wind direction.
  17. Probably is a safe bet lol, if the precipitation makes it that far north then I reckon sleet/snow will fall up there.
  18. Yes very nice seeing upgrades but can you imagine what the mod thread would be like in the morning if the models all flip to a much flatter pattern, they'd be carnage in that thread lol
  19. More than likely lol but still nice to look at and one day a chart like that will verify.
  20. Well that makes a nice change, snow south of the m4!
  21. North of the English channel would be a much better term I reckon, North of the m4 phrase should be an instant forum ban
