    Really hefty shower in Leadgate, Consett at the moment.

    I can see the main A692 road from work in Consett and the traffic seems to be running more or less at usual speed. Don't know what it's like on the inclines or side roads however. It really hasn't stopped snowing for more than a few minutes since I arrived at work at 8.30 am.

    Heavy snow falling in Leadgate, Consett, though the flakes are quite fine. Side roads are going to be difficult if it freezes tonight.

    We've had a similar shower Cloud10, but we're just a couple of miles away in Leadgate. Nice white covering in the work car park. A few of these hefty showers and it could start accumulating. Love living up here!

    Plenty of snow around the 1300 ft above sea level mark on the North Pennines today. Route between Rookhope and allenheads quite snowy.

    Had a fantastic snow shower in Consett about 8.00 this morning, giving a very quick covering. Been a wintry mix of showers all day here.

    Consett's sleety - saw a few big flakes of snow, then it turned back to sleet again. Feels very cold outside though.

    On and off snow showers in Consett right now. Snow that's falling is quite wet.

    I can see the A692 Leadgate by-pass from my back garden and traffic looks very, very slow. Can't see any headlights on the A693 past Pontop Pike, but unsure if that's just lack of visibility due to the falling snow.
