  1. The way they have worded that makes it seem like it should be at least Amber! Sounds like they are fearing the worst! ☺
  2. So as far as I can tell, according to the MAD thread over the last 24 hours . . . It's going to get very cold, from the East, but maybe not as it heads to France, but it won't so it's ok, (but might not be) Then it's going to cover the south east in "s of snow, but if you live up north then the Easterly looks dry for those down south and -8 uppers aren't good enough for snow, even with stupidly low DP's and a warm ocean track to aid convection, just won't happen. The 2nd SSW is having an IMMEDIATE effect on the next few days actual weather, even though the initial (record breaking) SSW took a couple of weeks to deliver (even though it hasn't yet, but it will, or maybe not but it could etc) Each model run is an upgrade/downgrade depending on your location and toys are ejected with immense force from prams if ANYONE dare say anything you don't like or point out that your 3' of snow is now 25 mins of drizzle with temps of +7 and hazy sunshine................... until the next run! But I think we will get this and then I will build this!
  3. How I imagine we will be clearing our drives and paths very soon..................
  4. It was quite heavy, just stopped, Left the pavements white, although, accumulation wise, this winter so far has been poor, I honestly can't remember the last time I have seen so many days with falling snow, a massive improvement over recent years, here's hoping it a precursor to an eventful tail end of winter ☺
  5. Just had a really heavy and blustery snow shower, quite unexpected, hope to catch a few more!
  6. Heavy snow again here, seems it all drifted more west than thought? Got a lovely covering
  7. It's ok, I have just popped to the future and taken this pic, that SSW really kicked in!
  8. Really? I'm not that far from heathfield and it's clear sky and frosty here
  9. I'm 240 meters above see level here and its' proven lucky this winter had some snow lying when even 2 miles down the road it's been raining, Just hope we can squeeze something significant out of what remains of this winter!
  10. Hi all, not posted on these boards for a while, Good to see familiar faces and new ones too, I'm hoping for some proper snow cover just so my little man who is 5 in a couple of weeks, gets to see his first decent snow cover, he gets super excited when there is just a bit lying around, would love for him to actually see something noteworthy ☺
  11. Quite heavy snow here, settling on the roofs and cars, brisk wind too
  12. Been snowing here for about 30 mins, medium to light, nice to see but not laying
  13. yeah it's really coming down heavy, everything turning white very quickly, should be with you very soon I guess
  14. been snowing here for about 15mins now, slight covering on the cars
  15. Don't post here often as I have no idea how to read the charts, but I enjoy it all the same! I would suggest people don't get hung up too much on the output at the moment, as even the met office peeps are saying it's all in no man's land, but hey, what do they know eh? I know it's good to talk about what's being shown and all the if's and but's, but.......... when a hurricane show's up in January for the first time in almost 80 years, it will throw a rather large spanner in the works! especially when the exact track and ramifications are unknown. For now, it's cold, and getting colder for a few day's, let's see what Alex does and what that means for our wonderful little island Thanks everyone for the input, laughs and hair pulling that this thread provides
  16. Massive flakes and really heavy, everything is white, 2 year old going bonkers so going out in a min lol
