  1. ECM similar to other models except icon. Shows close to 90 mph winds by the Welsh coasts transfering across England with gust close to 80 mph inland
  2. I remember that mate. Also Doris was potent around here with a young girl dying think speeds reached 80 that day
  3. Models seem to have good agreement on position of low apart from icon. Some crazy gusts on many models 80 90 mph inland is very dangerous something to watch
  4. Arperge does tend to overdo windspeeds however can't be discounted. See my post above 25 min ago Sorry prob with phone. See above
  5. As things stand GFS and ARP are similarish path with the later hitting close to 100 mph inland GFS closer to 80 very windy for inland areas especially as it happens midday Friday
  6. GFS keeping the theme I find since it's update it sometimes is a little pessimistic regarding max speeds. Anyway take that
  7. Crikey that would be some event for the south east. Snow more of an issue for midlands north
  8. Potential weather coming up towards the end of working week this season as been so lacking in anything remotely interesting is nice to keep a watchful ewye on something. Blizzarrds or rain and very windy weather take your pick
  9. The feature approaching Us from the irish sea is certainly more north than modeled if it reaches here is may give aflake or two more likely icy rain.
  10. Agree 1000 -1 is actually a bit low. To put it into perspective 1000-1 is equivalent to two people who frequent this site having 11 fingers and toes for them a 1947 redux could bring its own unique problems anyway I'm going off on a tangent a brief wintry spell would do me
  11. Nor me maybe Friday morning with the sparadic nature of showers. Must not complain though. We will always have November
  12. Yep. This season is quickly becoming a disappointment for most wonderful looking model runs but alas amounting to very little. Luckily myself and a few have seen snowfall. Most have had nothing and with solar output kicking in the next few years could be just as grim
  13. Current temp Current Conditions Date: 06/01/22 - Report Time: 14:11:00 Temperature: 2.5 deg c Dp 1.9c Humidity: 96% Average Wind Speed: 5.0 mph Current Wind Speed: 6.1 mph Rain Today: 4.8 mm Air Pressure: 1011.2 mbar Today's Highest Temperature: 2.3 deg c Today's Lowest Temperature: -1.2 deg c UV Index: 0
  14. but even at the top end of matlock its only 200metres which was what you were replying to. anyway move from Stourbridge one of the worst places for snow in the BC
  15. So now im lying? Whats the altitude in Matlock i know parts of it are not very high
  16. What?. I asked if you received the same amount of snow as on that video here in sedgley the ground was as white over as that video depicted SORRY Ps Matlocks altitude is not to different to here
