  1. Had a real beefy downpour. Thunder moving away north now.
  2. Dont know what part of nort Kent you are in, but you must have the same cool northeasterly wind from the sea as Ramsgate has. Its pegging the temperture right down to 20 or 21 celcius round these parts. Perfect sunbathing weather.
  3. It's going to be a french imports events for the southern part of this region. (Kent, Sussex and south Essex. ) Im watching the area Due south of Calais for anything to kíck off later. The upper winds are pushing everything in a northwesterly direction.
  4. A shower of "dry" graupel in ramsgate. No rain involved. The colder uppers have arrived maybe. Good news for maidstone and ashford areas if anything more potent sets up. Infact light snow now. It not marginal for a few hours.
  5. After all that precipitation. The end result was a dusting in the plant pot. Oh dear.
  6. If only the temperature had been a bit lower. The wet snow, sleet and rain has been fairly steady since 9. The drains are overflowing around here.
  7. Probably only on the tops of the downs. Places like Hawkinge, Stelling Minnis and Hastingleigh.
  8. The downs in the triangle between Folkestone, Ashford and Canterbury may be inline for a good peppering. Meanwhile, its just rain in Ramsgate.
  9. Guys, if its going to snow anywhere in these marginal conditions,, then hawkinge in south kent is usually in the hit zone. Its got 150 metre elevation plus a long land track with wind between wnw and north east. Theyve had 3 decent coverings this week, while 3 miles away the lower parts of folkestone had just rain or sleet.
  10. Even here in Ramsgate there was a 1cm dusting on friday morning. And i consider the thanet coast to be the worst place for snow potential in all of kent. So never rule out a suprise or 2.
  11. Any reports from north norfolk? I can see the anvils from Ramsgate
  12. At 12 it was +7c at Gravesend and +6 at Manston. Thats nowhere near to being cold.
  13. 31 now in beltinge. Feels miles different to yesterday when 23 was the max here.
  14. 30 c reached at 2 metres in the shade in Beltinge. Wind off the land still. Might hit 33 later. Was 25 at langdon bay at midday with onshore wind, so its definately classed as hot today.
  15. Massive storm system over northern france and belgium. If it got any bigger, the whole thing would probably start rotating and become a tropical storm or weak hurricane!
  16. It only been light to moderate rain all day, not worthy of all the hyperbole comments.
