  1. LOL..ah no im not that bad. I was travelling on business and it just happened to be perfect timing. I wasnt expecting the snow this morning in Dublin. Its cool when that happens.
  2. Got no snow in wexford so I had to travel to Armagh town and then Loughall and Antrim town. Plenty of snow in Armagh yesterday with a little in Antrim. Even as others have said had a little snow in Swords co.Dublin last night.
  3. Only got sleet here last night. No big surprise really. Will be driving to Armagh tuesday night and up to Antrim on Wednesday..shall be interesting!!
  4. NaD...thanks a million for that...my dew point is 0.23 so very very close. Temp now needs to get down to the precious 2 degrees!!
  5. NaD... where are you getting the dew point reading from? your own weather station? I dont know what my dew point is. This is all so marginal isnt it!!!
  6. NaDa.. 3.4 degrees here at the moment and getting cloudy... still too warm for snow. could well be down to -6 for you tonight.
  7. lets see what happens. The slower the ppt reaches us the better. Way too warm at the minute. 5 degrees here at the moment, but that should begin to drop off as the sun goes down.
  8. Interesting to see that the UK met office have just issued new weather warnings for Friday and Saturday! They are equally confused by the models!! The Irish weather service has just issued a weather warning for up to 10cm of snow for the southern half of the Country for tomorrow afternoon and night. The low will then makes its way across to northern wales and northern england.
  9. badboy, i dont know about that. After watching the models over the last while i think anything is possible. We still really need those -8's for snow. Anything could happen here over the next few days. It aint over till its over.
  10. Hi Folks..this is my first post here so please excuse me if i happen to put my foot in my mouth. A number of you have mentioned (teits and bftp i think) that fronts have a tendency to be pushed East over time...e.g. the low pressure system coming from the North may be pushed east. Why is this?...is it the high pressure system or pressure from the lows in the Atlantic that cause this? Most of you are hoping the low pressure system (thats shown on the models moving from the north at the weekend) moves more East on the ECMWF? is this from a purely a snow event point of view or is there something else you are looking at like colder winds? Cheers.
