  1. Oh well the regional place is now closed, all shutting up for the year now it's warming up. Strange to see the Cold Spell Discussion still open, but without it I wouldn't be able to say it's strange to see the Cold Spell Discussion still open. Goodbye.
  2. I feel like an unwanted guest at the end of a wedding party posting in this forum. The bride and groom have already left the building and the catering staff are clearing away the glasses. In the words of Elves, the snow has left the building. See you all next year.
  3. I know this isn't strictly to do with model watching but I thought I should mention in reply to this post that it has been raining for most of the day here, and it is still raining right now.
  4. It's been unbroken sunshine here all day, that's active enough for me. Lovely.
  5. You don't have to apologise to these people for feeling warm in the sun, it's not some kind of weather blasphemy to mention the warm word. All the smokers at our place today were sitting out in the yard soaking up the sun. None of them were wearing coats, wooly hats and gloves. It was WARM. See I said it and I haven't been struck down by the weather Gods.
  6. I think if the pro cold and snowy brigade that have now jumped ship had been a little less dismissive of the members who just enjoyed a bit of weather of whatever variety was on offer, and incidentally the extreme brigade were usually backed up by the moderators, we might not have seen such a massive decline in the traffic to this website. Just my humble opinion.
  7. Just back from a stroll along the cliffs and there is no need for a coat. I wonder when these "Cold Spell" discussions will be closed?
  8. No snow, forum slow. The sun is most certainly getting warmer by the day. The beach is getting busier, and the layers of clothing are getting less and less. I hadn't realised how much I had missed the warmth of the sun.
  9. I think it must have been an amazing winter for everywhere in the UK except where I live where we had a very average winter.
  10. Woke up to an absolutely glorious morning, beautiful blue skies an unbroken sunshine. This is much more like it.
  11. Very quiet on this forum tonight so I thought I would give my own personal view on the winter of 2009/10. For my area the model output discussion thread promised much, but in reality delivered very little. We had a few centimetres of snow for a couple of days, and some quite chilly weather. Other areas of the UK might have had a winter to remember but we didn't. The one saving grace is I live 50 yards from the beach so the late spring and summer are a delight.
  12. Did you not see the bit where I wrote "For anyone living in mainland Europe ignore this." Or wasn't you aware that Spain and France are part of mainland europe?
