to be honest. A 5 day cold snap with some snow. Possible lots. Then a return to warmer weather would do me fine. I'm not interested in weeks of cold weather in March. 2013 was bloody awful here. Cold, grey and snowless. Certainly do not want a repeat of that. Wouldn't mind days like yesterday and today though. Beautiful!

Well. My first batch of emergency supplies are chilling nicely on the veranda. West facing, so will be nicely sheltered there for the foreseeable. Just the right temperature at the moment. Certainly will not be doing the same next week. They'll be frozen in a few minutes.

Not necessarily. The temps will be low enough everywhere. Nothing marginal in the next 10 days or so. If it falls it will be snow. Simple as that.

your right!. Think it'll be ski gear time. and a big coat for me. hahaha Think it's time to start stocking up. Not that its needed but cos it feels good. My list mainly consists of beer and the standard milk. potatoes and bread. Got to have plenty of beer when it snows. Its like a big celebration. And plenty of pointless walking. Must walk somewhere and frequently. A pub is a great target.

Woo hoo. Definitely happening. Gonna get proper cold Sunday onwards. Serious wind chill. Defo snow but we'll have to wait for more accurate forecasts. But things will pop up rather quickly if you know what I mean. Huh hum

You have to laugh. I have to say the new BBC graphics are seriously misleading. Countyfile last night had snow across most of Wales for Tuesday morning but Schafernaker said possible hill snow.

Better off in Spain & Morocco

The freezing rain was the stand out memory for me during this period. Everything was encased in a thick layer of ice. It was impossible to get into your car. The trees were coated. It was quite stunning but absolutely treacherous. This was the only time i've experienced this in my 39 years.
