    If MetO were to issue red warnings would they do it before everyone goes to bed? not much use to anyone if people are sleeping.

    Sorry if this is a silly question but are winds stronger nearer the eye of the storm or further away from it? I'm in Norwich so as the storm leaves the UK just north of Norfolk I was just wondering if that is when the strongest winds will be.

    Getting used to disappointment from met office weather forecasts - i've yet to see a weather warning actually happen as forecast. Think i'll just give up watching the weather and assume each day that nothing is going to happen in Norwich. And before anyone says it's on it way, it will split down the middle as it always does and allow Norwich to pass straight through unharmed.

    Hopefully we will get some larger flakes in Norwich, 5hrs of small snow, about 3cm

    There seems to be a line of death from just north of cambridge to south of Norwich and into the north sea where any heavy stuff turns to light when it passes over it. Anyone know why?

    Should be gusting 43 in Norwich this afternoon according to met office but we've had little more than a light breeze

    John Hammond has just said the "forecast is going as planed" so hopefully we will still see the 5-10cm

    Been snowing in norwich for an hour now and we have just about managed to get to 1mm - another nine hours and we might just manage the big 1cm. the green stuff seems to be having trouble getting past the wash

    It's not been anything like the 6-12" other parts of county has seen in the last couple of winters. I just think it's time us in Norfolk saw some deeper snow. Anyway I'm not going to argue with you, if you are happy with what we've had over the last few years then I'm happy for you but I would like to see a bit more. The snow has started to fall (very light) here now so fingers crossed we will get more than we usually do this time round.

    Maybe South Norfolk does well but the city only ever gets a few cm's each winter

    Maybe we will get 1cm if we are lucky, I think Norwich has managed to miss every weather event for last 20 years.
