At least you should have some snow covered hills nearby I suspect by tomorrow morning at least, may even consider a visit to Cumbria just too hopefully see some significant snow on the ground it's that desperate!
Yeh if it wasnt raining and melting already i wouldnt be complaining because a lot of years we dont even see anything at all, so 1cm is actually pretty good here
. Hopefully some snow on the western fells, only thing is the roads are always awful up there.

Possibly 1cm here before it started raining couple hours ago, all going now
, looking at the radar for the last 12 hours we were quite lucky to even get anything, looks like most of cumbria missed out

We had a decent snowfall of about 1 inch last year, last time we had over 5cm was the battleground events in 2013 january i think when we had about 7cm with a fast thaw, didnt get see any march 2013 though when the likes of barrow and millom got plastered at sea level, we were in a snow shadow, then had 5cm in december 2010 from a rogue heavy shower from the east, and then about 1cm a couple weeks later when the flow turned westerley and produced the heavy showers off the irish sea but we managed to miss most of them that night aswell, i think we missed the bulk of the ppn last night, maybe if we were under that heavy streamer in the south of cumbria it would have cooled the temps a bit and brought us snow but weve missed out again

No snow here, was only sleet when i looked outside last night, so dissapointed, i think its the first time ive ever been in the amber warning zone for snow aswell

Woke up to very thin and slushy deposits this morning but the fells are covered, think if we were 75M higher we would have had snow, annoying that the ppn has skirted around us all day aswell, fingers crossed that streamer moves north

Good chance Egremont might actually get some snowfall by the morning which is no more than Cumbria Marra deserves.

, ive been looking through this thread recently though because of the chance of snow, dont comment much or look as much now though because of a busy life style but any chance of snow and ill try and have a look through this thread, but thanks you pal i appreciate it , i hope we all get some snow out of this cold spell, pretty decent chance of seeing snow falling for me i think which i would be happy about, would be absolutely buzzing if i seen any laying snow,so even though i dont comment as much im still lurking when theres a cold spell because im still obsessed with snow and i hope everyones doing ok.

Very light sleet just started, feels like the temp has dropped a lot in the last hour, very raw. About 3-4cm fell in egremont on saturday but rapid thaw and all gone by about 1pm, was a good snowfall for here just wish it happened before february to enjoy it more. Not expecting any more than a few flakes tonight and definately no laying snow.

2-3cm in whitehaven, hasnt settled on tarmac but still impressed to see that amount here, pretty sure its the biggest snowfall since january 2013!

Readily settling on car windscreens so should start to see the grass turning white soon, noticeably colder aswell, come on!! Will be a big feat seeing lying snow at sea level in whitehaven

Still very light snow, will never amount to anything, the fells are both a blessing and a curse, nice to look at and walk up but steal all of our snow!
