  1. Radar activity showing new cells forming around St, Albans and heading for Cambridge town centre. These are the location of the exact same two microcells which formed around 8am this morning, also came from nothing. This ain't over just yet, unless you live south of London that is...
  2. Indeed. Humans plugging in algorithms that reach the wrong answers even quicker than the humans can.
  3. Some cells now developing across the far north of Greater London clipping SW Essex and Herts...should be an interesting afternoon...
  4. Some convective rainfall sparking up in NE London/SW Essex/S Herts right now out of nothing....
  5. Well in our sunny corner of SW Essex we haven't been in the direct firing line for storms so far this summer, although we have had some epic torrential downpours. Am hopeful for Friday night in particular when, according to the Netweather Thunderstorm risk charts, it's meant to be the closing act on this mini-heatwave. Just purchased an oscillating tower fan online which I'll be picking up this evening. Could make the difference between a sleepless night and a restless one instead!
  6. Covered in a lovely thin but appreciated blanket of snow here in SW Essex, first since March 2013 :-)
  7. Can someone please kindly advise when the 12z GFS model starts rolling out? Thanks in advance...
  8. 4.9c here in Waltham Abbey / SW Essex. Frost STILL on some shaded rooftops. Temporary warm-up tonight as the rain band clears through then the first of several storms approach on Sunday. Should be an interesting week for snow lovers.
  9. Anyone spot the next batch currently moving NNE from The Bay of Biscay? Should be an interesting afternoon/evening in S/SE England...
  10. The sun's behaviour happens in cycles. If anyone is seriously wondering whether or not we are entering a Little Ice Age then check out Weatheraction.com. And yes, we are entering a 30 year period of cool summers and protracted winters. Like it or not. Buy a wood burner and insulate yourselves.
  11. Sleet desperately trying to turn to snow in Waltham Abbey (M25 Jct 26) after a wet night. Settled on car windscreens but nowt else. Still, 4-5 hours of precipitation ahead...
  12. Can peeps pls quote their location as some of us are viewing from mobiles? Ta
