I’m not looking forward to the brief heat either especially with hot flushes adding to the discomfort! Work have provided a free fully stocked ice cream and lolly freezer and ice cubes for everyone which has gone down a treat

Lovely storm here. Sat here with my cat who isn’t frightened by any of it. His sister would have enjoyed it too but said goodbye to her after 15 years last week . Rain really coming down now too

We have a little snow shower right now, still small flakes but wasn’t expecting anything today so a nice little surprise!

It’s snowing lightly here just north of Waterlooville from that tiny line of precipitation. Nice to see a bit falling even though it’s blowing all over the place.

Boring old rain here but great to see others pics.

Some very small flakes mixed in with sleety rain here, too far south for anything much more but nice to see all the same

Some great fork lightning albeit fairly infrequent but heard thunder too on Hayling

Drove to Hayling and can see some nice flashes to the east so pleased to see something at least

So my plan I think will be Butser Hill / Bognor Regis to watch the storms approach, then zip up the A3 to Pewley Hill to see them move north into London.
Possibly head even further north after that to Wisley but the storms will be fairly brisk so driving past there would be a waste of time possibly
I’m thinking Bognor too as a starting point but I’m not expecting a repeat of Tuesday night down here, I’m making the most of being able to chase with no work to get up for until I start my new job next week!

Standing on Southsea common it's insane!?
On Hayling it’s amazing isn’t it? Non stop lightning from so many directions!

It will (read: should) expand and the track of that huge electric blob of madness will correct to a more northerly path.
I would worry more about being directly under it
Really hoping to see something as mum and I are waiting patiently on Worthing seafront! We have a cool box with supplies so we are fed and watered lol. Rain easing slightly now too

I'm at George the 5th avenue, at the beach under the shelter!
Cool I have no idea where that is but we may see you there! Hope we see something

Thinking about heading to Worthing tonight but not sure what time to set off, probably about 10 ish. Could travel further but hoping I won’t have to

Hi everyone, snowing moderately here which is starting to lay. Really enjoyed the humorous posts tonight too, it's cheered me up as I have shingles for the second time so far this year and you've all helped to make me feel better along with the snow ?

Social media.. twitter plus the MAD thread earlier. Sorry for the wobble but I’ve been here before when it was odds on to happen only for it to go wrong hours before
Don’t apologise for a wobble I’ve had a shed load of them this week! Only seen a flurry so far and with my hot flushes I want to lie in some snow! Went outside in my nightdress to cool down earlier lol. I’m sure the south west will do well as forecast, hope central southern do too but not as likely. ?

Can see lightning to my west, no thunder but nice to see. Might head to Portsdown Hill or just stay in back garden with a cup of tea ️
