  1. This whole 'mini event' i guess you would call it is such a mystery!!

Last night, we had weather09 calling for 20cm of snow according to the charts, and this morning Kold Weather again calling for 15cm plus in certain areas!

Now it seems like a bit of a non event, with either the PPN slipping down to Western wales or in fact the PPN being widely scattered but nothing disruptive at all.

Should I just forget about this and concentrate on my Uni work or is my position still a good place to see some snow?

    Thanks

  2. A case of 'as you were' with the 18z NMM, a trough runs through our region, mainly rain, with snow at elevation tomorrow morning, then cheshire gap streamer setting up saturday night/sunday morning, the timing if which looks better for more widespread snow to affected areas..

Perhaps a better chance for the southern Staffordshire/ Warwickshire folk to join in on the fun?

  3. No offencemate, but I think you need to calm down and have somepatience. Alot of people including myself haven't swen anything wintry falling (I had a dusting over night) this year... like it says in my motto... The weather always pays it's debts.

No worries , I am calm mate. And I am aware of the fact that others haven't seen snow either, and when I speak, I speak on behalf of us South Staffordshire people haha

  4. You can back up my claim of Leicester being the most snowless place in the Midlands then Rorkster :good:

Absolutely Andy. I have managed to live locally in the second least snowy area, and then I pick a university where it's in fact even worse. I originally had the idea that Leicester would be a great spot for snow.. HA.

Last year I missed inches of the stuff that had occurred in Staffordshire whilst at leicester and then when I moved back to home for christmas Leicester got it bad :(

  5. It's got so desperate now that i'd even take a snow shower, incredibly I'm still waiting to see the first snow of the winter and we're half way through december, Stoke has seen inches of snow, heavy precipitation and yet I haven't even seen a snow flake!!!???

I can't actually remember the last time I saw a heavy snow shower like the ones Stoke have seen today, every year I miss the actual showers as it's usually around 4am or I'm at university in leicester and we all know what Leicester is like.

    CURSED.

  6. Birmingham looks to be in a great position for this afternoon from that streamer, Leicester and Nottingham = Bad position. I've seen this happen way too many times before, Cheshire gap streamer plowing through Staffs and Birmingham and missing us.

Trust me it's nothing special, and yet I know that Birmingham, only 15 miles away will get dumped in snow.
