    Over 6 inches here in Ellesmere where I'm working , same back at home in Bomere north of Shrewsbury - still heavy snow falling

    Snowing in bomere just north of shrewsbury , strange really as I've just come from work at the base of the Wrekin which is much higher and there was nothing there but rain / drizzle

    Seem to be to far west here in shrewsbury , had a bit of rain in the night and heard a couple of distant rumbles , but that is all .

    snow finally stopping here now , had a good 4" of fresh snow fall this afternoon , if we had'nt had a slight thaw earlier and a few hours of snow not sticking then we would have some serious totals. it is also surprising the difference locally , at my work place just 9 miles away there is probably half the depth of snow

    Heavy again just north of shrewsbury , about 2 to 3 inches fallen today , roads are awfull , tomorrow will be carnage if this freezes
