  1. Hi guys, just a quick update on the WestonWeather website. After finally establishing the website and setting up the weather station, and the Stevenson Screen, it was time to give the fairly minimalistic website look a make over. So here is the final result. It displays much more weather data on one page, in a nice user friendly interface. Hope you like, feel free to comment. www.westonweather.co.uk For us in the south and west, it really does show the extreme rainfall we received during January. Of course with much more weather action most likely to take place this coming week, stay tuned to whats going on through our new look WestonWeather website.

  3. 80mm so far here this month . . which is above average for here. With tomorrows showers, and Saturdays deluge on the way, im sure we will top 100mm before months end here! . . . see all data here, on WestonWeather www.westonweather.co.uk/index.htm
  4. And so the Stevensons Screen journey comes to an end this morning, as everything is now completed, and its standing proud on its perch in the garden. Like i have said before, anyone can buy a screen, but you get an enormous amount of satisfaction knowing that you (i) built that. Every morning now when i look out side and see it, i think to myself . .. i made that! For the grand total of about £60, I have managed to build this with very little effort. It looks the part, and so far does its job well. Here is the latest, and final installment of the DIY Stevensons Screen journey. Thanks for following, please feel free to comment. http://www.westonweather.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18

  6. An update to our stevenson screen journey. We are almost there now. The final bits and pieces are coming together. Today the solar panel for the inside fan was fitted and it was sprayed white for the extra protection from the sun and elements. This little box has really come a long way in its journey. Anyone could buy a stevenson screen, but its been great fun to build one and the satisfactions seeing it come together is great. . . . . Check out its latest update here . . . http://www.westonweather.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18

    Lightning Strike!

Lightning strike just outside Bristol, hadnt realised i had taken the lightning strike, only when looking back at the picture i noticed it!
  12. my cats gone crazy. . . . does she no something??? haa. goood luck everyone!!
  13. The odd spot of rain started here! seems to be pushing south a lot faster than forecast!
  14. I'm Really not so sure about tonight. temp currently 4.0c Humidity 73% DP -0.5 we cant even really get freezing rain from this as the ground isnt any longer below freezing! i must admit, i didnt expect temps to rise so much today, especially considering the cloud cover. . . odd . . . any ways, unless temps take a dramatic tumble, i cant see anything materializing except rain. . . . shame really as we dont have much time left for snow in this area . . though March can produce some quick cold blast and snow, it only lasts a day or so! Let the Nowcasting Commence!
  15. I'm liking, just no this will change though. though i must say, after what i thought was going to be a non event, im starting to think it could actually turn out to something, i thought temps maybe to high, but it seems as if we will drag in some cold air just before the arrival of the band of precip. as the front moves in east, i think it will stall and retract west as the east pushes in again. but we will see, this is a VERY complex set up, and forecasting it from now is almost impossible, things are changing as we speak. i think it wont be till tuesday afternoon that we will no whats going to really happen. we live in hope though . . . well some of us do haaa
  16. Hold you horses everyone, its will come dont worry, i feel maybe its slightly behind time wise, think its pushing up through france as we speak, i would say hitting us anytime from around 7ish, but id say it was more of an afternoon thing to be honest. but its only going to be light, doubt it will do/effect anything, would like to wake up surprised though
  17. No, id say its right, my temp here has been rising since about 9 o clock tonight! odd isnt it, i put it down to cloud cover,
  18. id prefer a constant temp of around 25c, or maybe -20 haha
  19. no i think there moving to fast west not fast enought south, i think they will miss bristol.
  20. -5.7 here. forecast for around -10, but as -10 was our minimum last night, i think we may just hit -12 maybe -13, if we do, thats the coldest iv ever seen/ been in, so its all rather exciting! looking forward to what sunday could bring also exciting times ahead of us!!!
  21. currently fine clear and sunny. very cold though -9.3cahh lovely winter weather. conservatory door froze solid shut, and really sholder it open.
  22. Is it me, or despite the snow cover, clear sky and the prediction of very low temps, my temp is falling very slow indeeed, im only reading -2.3. what is everyone else getting?
  23. Just set up my new weather station, yippppy. can anyone tell me what the humidity is roughly round the clevedon area, just wana make sure its reading righ. seems a little high to me, currently ready 87%
