  1. I'd like to say we're having an amazing winter full of ups and downs and not just downs either. Loving this winter.
  2. -5C here when I checked at 0630 hrs. Snow packed ice paths and side roads everywhere. Rain on top of this lot will be treacherous for road users. I've seen a lot of the valleys over the past few days and have been wondering the same thing about the Met Office temps and the actual temps around snow covered South Wales. I always thought warm air goes up over cold air and rain that falls through cold enough air, turns to snow. Are we actually going to return to mild weather so quick that it just rains?
  3. 7 inches of snow depth here in Cwmbran. Not sure I'll be able to get the car out of my street tomorrow. Crazy weather for early December. Nice though.
  4. Currently snowing here in Cwmbran. Has been since 1am. Approx 4 inches so far. Funny looking rain I know
  5. Cover it in salt....that should defrost it quickly
  6. When bad weather has caused disruption you are expected to make every effort to report for duty at your normal place of work, this includes considering alternative transport options. This means using public transport where possible or even linking up with other staff who live near you. Colleagues who pass on a main transport route may also be able to support your journey to work.

  7. Just to let you know, our Government have already issued a bad weather reminder to all staff here in case the weather turns bad and this one issued on 03/11/10 is obviously about the potential storm on Sunday into Monday and they must have had early warnings from somewhere. The issue email is below...
