Sleet has already turned to settling snow here (despite what the radar says) was only expecting a slush fest this morning but looks like I’m getting a couple of hours back edge snow from this ️

Raining now but what little I’ve got left is hanging on… for this time of year I’m surprised - absolutely horrible cold and wet day….think I’m done with this now can we have spring please

Still snowing, at least it entertains the smudge our house cat who won’t go outside no matter what the weather is like … this was her face when I asked her if she’d like to go outside and play

You might not ! Depends when you get here - currently have heavy snow that’s sticking better than yesterday

Well I wasn’t expecting anything at all so my “covering” was exciting, I honestly thought I was too far north for the first wave & too far south for the second - if the temp/DP had been better it would have been quite a lot, but seeing snowfall from 5am pretty much all day was unexpected-…. it’s still hanging on for life this morning, it’s sleeting atm which I know will turn to rain and wash it away but certainly better than nothing just not as good as the pre Christmas

So pretty was worth the wait - sad it will probably be gone by the morrow !

Since 5pm it’s started to settle a bit but still horribly slushy

Never has it snowed for so long (on an off pretty much all day) and had so little to show for it - this was a promising start first thing but it’s all wet and soggy now - still it’s been nice to see the flakes falling even though I’ve got diddly squat on the accumulation scale

Not yet but hopefully later ️ it’s been snowing for hours here but it’s tiny flakes so not much to show for it but I wasn’t expecting anything until later so just seeing flakes falling in daylight is a bonus!

Watching on the security camera from the warmth & comfort of my bed - only awake because the cat jumped on me to wake me up for a drink (must teach her how to turn on the Bath tap for herself) now I can’t get back to sleep! ️

I had a little grauple shower at lunchtime, it cleared off pretty quickly and the temperature has really dropped now, I took this on my way home this evening

So every time I can be bothered to look it’s all changed, currently midweek I’m too far south for the heavy rain turning to snow, by the end of the week I’m too far north for the heavy snow turning to rain, so basted on this I’m expecting heavy slush at some point in the next 5 days or maybe absolutely nothing at all followed by heavy rain next weekend….and you can bet that will happen (but we do need it) think I’ll just wait and see, nowcasting by looking out the window is probably better than giving oneself a headache looking at the possibility of nothing

I guess as always some of us will be happy, some not anyway how deep the snow is depends on how long your legs are … meantime we have cake

Must be me then, I have thermal socks, thermal leggings, thermal vest and a woolly jumper on…..and I’m still cold and that’s indoors with the heating on…. can’t wait for it to get really cold we will probably only end up with a flurry in a hurry or a fleeting sleeting day Tuesday so not really feeling excited if it’s not full on like it was 5 years ago !
