Am working in Cheltenham next week and looking at the 10 dayer it seems to be same as London. Usually it's cooler up that way and i was hoping to see a decent fog/frost while up there.
Very clear and bright here this morning after a chilly damp start.
Can you not postpone it for a couple of weeks? Reckon you’d stand a better chance of a frost by December
We were so lucky last year to get that snow just at the right time for some of our annual pre Christmas festivities- this was Waddesdon the day we went, I won’t be expecting a repeat this year !

I am sure the only snow I got 22/23 was last Nov/ Dec time.
Someone in mad thread said about it being too early for the chase.
I ve known it to snow end November into Dec?
Was it last Nov or Dec in the South east we got a bit?
End of November was very cold last year and here this happened on the 12th Dec

Dog leads owner to cat stuck 100ft down Cornish mine shaft

Daisy the dog "went beserk" and led her owner to where missing cat Mowgli was stranded.Daisy not Lassie
Mmmm not sure my dogs would help with finding the cat, they would probably prefer it if she stayed down the shaft !

My heating actually came on this morning when i got up at 0530, thermostat has been set to 16 throughout spring/summer, so it obviously dipped below that indoors this morning.
Same here over the weekend and mine was only on 15 !
First time scraping frost off the windscreen Sunday morning it then I was going out stupidly early
I’m pleased it feels more seasonal temperature wise though, we just need the trees to catch up and give us some lovely autumn colours- 1

75 days til Xmas
Just walked between offices here in Whitehall and it is superb out there. Possible 10 degree drop come Sat/Sun. That'll make it feel more seasonal
I’m ready for something more seasonal and almost ready for …..
Mistletoe & , on the fire
and a new boiler on the way to replace the old gas guzzler
…..sadly I think it’s most likely to be a mild and damp winter with a few colder blasts but unlikely to get snowed in ️

Met Éireann have named Storm Betty as a low-pressure system which is also triggering Met Office warnings.
Storm Betty, which will bring higher impacts to the Republic of Ireland, will move from the south of Ireland to the north on Friday and into Saturday. It will bring some impacts to western areas of the UK in particular, with high winds and heavy rain likely for many.

I’m a Bizzy buzzy, fuzzy wuzzy bee
Had a sunny jaunt around Oxfordshire today, if any of you recognise Kingston Bagpuize House it was used as the set of 'Cavenham Park', the residence of 'Lord Merton', in the television series Downton Abbey. It was also used as 'Mrs Goddard's School' in the 2020 feature film Emma.

Is it too much to wish for a repeat of this?
