Going to be a short day today ......
Not for me it’s not I’m working long and hard today & tomorrow- I’ve hardly had time to look up and notice the windy weather outside I’m too busy creating magic
I’ll be all glittered out by Saturday so planning a PJ day as long as the grocery delivery isn’t lacking in anything essential I’ll have no reason to leave the house
happy Christmas to all

was a good episode tonight, won't spoil it for you. weather for the week ahead interesting ......
I enjoyed Countryfile tonight, educating the townies and young folk on the natural weather warnings that us older generations and country people have been brought up with.
It’s a shame kids don't have the chance to learn about the weather and countryside things in school, I did CSE rural studies as it was one of my “science” options along with biology, it might encourage some of them to look up at the sky and their surroundings and not stare at their phone screens all the time.

Just got home from church, lovely photo of a snowy St Mary’s on the cover of the carol service booklet - sadly the reality wasn’t the same - time to catch up with countryfile now and some Welsh rarebit
So are people still watching every run flip and flop from the previous one talk about blow hot blow cold

I’m 50/50 on the Christmas forecast it keeps changing like … mmm well the weather really all depends when and where you look and what you would like to see / believe - the proof of the (Christmas) pudding will be in the eating ( I’d probably choke on the sliver sixpence knowing my luck ) it would be a nice surprise to open the curtains to something white on the big day even a thick frost would be good imo ️

The great white Xmas of 1981 on C5 at 2100
Froze were the days although it did snow briefly here last night … unfortunately it was “man made” but looking at the photos posted on our community group it did make some smiles which is more than can be said about the relentless wet & windy weather !
Zero chance of snow on the big day for me at the moment- I think need to move north when I retire preferably to the top of a big hill !

With the mild biased met office talking of a white Christmas, surley its more possible than ever before?
I have never known them to mention snow at Christmas before?
Would be a dream come true as long as my family are here before we get snowed in ️
So what are the odds ? not that I’m likely to have a flutter or a flurry for that matter !
It was frosty last light but by this morning it’s just another damp dull December day that’s only fit for watching Christmas movies and gift wrapping so that’s what I’ll be doing, was supposed to be going to Stratford upon Avon Christmas market but feeling under the weather in more ways than one !

Just had a lovely hot (a splash of chilli sauce on top) Shepards Pie..... the Shepard was not happy
Surely at this time of year the shepherds should be washing their socks at night

See the preparation work that goes into getting The Shard sparkling for Christmas. The shard looks lovely - most of my day was spent decorating my two Christmas trees

Just the 12yrs for me.
I used to be In the chat alot before they removed it.
We did have a laugh
Yes “the lock inn” aka chat room - many a night spent lamppost watching with a drink or 3, those were the days - checking the snow depth on our bin lids

Got two trees up indoors today, no decorations yet so got the lights set on multicoloured until I decide on which baubles are going where - I ran out of time anyway today as I had a hair appointment it’s certainly brightened up an otherwise very dull & dreary damp day I wouldn’t have gone out at all if I hadn’t got to be at the salon !
