  1. It’s really quite nice apart from the wind I’ve got some lovely white tulips starting to open, they are called “swans wings” from Farmer Gracy (yes tulips from Amsterdam) not sure how some of my plants are going to cope if we get frosts next week, I was possibly a bit premature with planting stocks
  2. The winning caption was “brace yourselves here I come” - It would have been a much nicer walk without the wind and the need for a coat
  3. It must be 20 degrees somewhere (probably Scotland again) but definitely not feeling it here … wonder what the sheep’s is thinking
  4. Went out early this morning and it was very frosty but what a gorgeous day, so nice to sit in the garden and feel warm sunshine
  5. Happy Easter to you all, I’ve spent the day gardening and enjoying the warm sunshine and spring flowers
  6. Ouchie hope your healing and all goes well with your recovery I’m working today & tomorrow before a few days off, just hope it stays dry over Easter
  7. Here’s a poem about the weather. It’s called ‘Today’s Forecast’, was definitely right for the last week !
  8. 2021 v 2022 I know Easter is a moveable feast and it really can be frostbite & snow bunnies or sunburn and melted chocolate eggs but these two photos of Mollie & Maddie taken exactly a year apart show the contrast …. So which one will be the closest weather to 2023?
  9. A very boggy and soggy Fergus walk today, but when it rains and your the far side of a 200 acre farm there isn’t much option but to carry on, Alpacas don’t mind getting wet and every day is a bad hair day anyway, I on the other had looked a muddy wet mess afterwards
  10. I was going to moan about the wind, I was on an old airfield this morning though but then I saw this and getting a bit blown around seems insignificant: Tornado kills at least 23 as it tears through southern US states during 'supercell' storms NEWS.SKY.COM Severe storms hit southern US states on Friday, producing hail the size of golf balls and causing fatal injuries. Thoughts are with those affected
  11. Well this was a lovely sight this morning, the hairy Angus have produced some little coo’s - bright and breezy here
  12. All the best for your eye op tomorrow x I had a lovey long walk with Fergus this morning, we have another date arranged next Wednesday - pretty much perfect weather for an Alpaca trek today so hopefully next week will be as good
  13. Welcome to Spring . . . Today is the first day of "Astronomical Spring" - the Vernal Equinox. The Spring Equinox is the pagan festival of Ostara or Eostre Goddess of Spring. Spring officially happens today at 9:24pm when the sun appears to cross the Equator into the northern hemisphere - hopefully the weather will also decide spring
  14. Not unless I get something like Narnia, think I’m ready for some sunshine I don’t think the “birthday boy” would be very happy about that ! Coventry tomorrow, would be there anyway if there was no cake
  15. Very spring like here today, definitely enjoying the lighter evenings - roast leg of lamb washed down with wine, flowers & chocolates from the kids and a carrot cake made for Mr Ds birthday tomorrow!
  16. Now that’s what I call a long range forecast ! I’m just waiting for the spring has sprung posts ..
  17. The “toy car” did thankfully have heated seats (just not as comfortable as mine), I went to put something in the boot and there was an extension type charging lead with a 3 pin wall plug in there, thankfully it came fully charged so not needed. Well at least it looks mild for the foreseeable, we need the rain showers so can’t complain about them but next Wednesday better be dry I’m going on an alpaca trek !
  18. Very Frosty start but not too bad a day weather wise, I ventured into the vale of Aylesbury this morning in an electric loan car, neither experience will I be in a hurry to repeat - it was nice to see some signs of spring and it’s noticeably lighter at the end of the day now which is good
  19. Pleased you didn’t blow off It did what it said on the tin got me this morning, had a sleety / snowy wintry mix shower and now some welcome blue sky & sunshine which is excellent as I’ve just had my hair done
  20. Snowz much fun Mollie would stay out in it all day if I let her Maddie is still a bit unsure - still snowing but much lighter now so expect we are at the “tail end” of it now
