Felt a bit more spring like this morning, went to Earls Barton as part of my familiarisation of Northants villages process - very pretty and definitely worth a visit !

Thick frost here this morning so far spring has delivered more winter than winter did

Happy 1st March - I’m giving it 3/3 that’s for hail, sleet & grauple - more than February delivered but feeling ready for some warm spring sunshine now !

Its still February (just) but we seem to be getting a combination of March winds and April showers here - the bright bits in between would be nice if it was a bit warmer - mind you the weather on earth could be the least of our problems AR3590 is now around 60% of the size of the sunspot that caused the legendary carrington event in 1859 … meanwhile I’ve baked cookies

Getting fed up of wet, mud and grey sky - it was nice while the sun shone briefly this mornings and the garden looked quite tidy until the hail stones knocked off loads of blossom - looks like someone had a confetti party out there now so might have to get the Henry Hoover out if it drys up over the weekend - trying to keep everything clean while the house is up for sale !
-
Dull and dreary here - will be nice to see some spring sunshine, my bulbs are ahead of themselves due to the mildness I suppose but no chance of getting outside to enjoy the garden today !
Oh and happy VD - we don’t really do the romantic stuff here but was out last night at the theatre and having a pub lunch today- 1

Tn9 having a pre house move clear out, doing a car boot next weekend and a few trips to the charity shop ! My computer is ready for the scrap heap tbh but I’ll be getting a new laptop soon

Tn9 su was up - had enough rain now ! Hopefully a dry day tomorrow doing a dump run (to the council tip)

It was still light here at 5pm

Lovely day here getting on with the spring cleaning and sort out ready to move - had a shocking thought that as it looks like I’m moving to north Northamptonshire will I be to far up to be in this regional group ?
-
Apparently it’s going to be colder 2nd week of Feb, well I’ve had a frost the last 2 mornings and having had to pay out for ridge tile roof repairs I don’t want any more damaging winds !

Had a bit of a bake off today only because a neighbour had done her online shopping and instead of ordering 5 bananas she’d orders 5 bunches so was giving some away so dark chocolate chip banana bread and banoffee muffins
weatherwise is windy, annoying bangy rattling noisy wind and I can’t get to sleep

@Floatylight not quite that far north, hopefully just a county hop into the Northamptonshire countryside - if we get the one we are after we will be backing onto the nature Reserve

We seem to have survived Isha undamaged from what I can tell so far this morning, at least we still have a roof which is good news, hope everyone else is okay
