Its not looking good for merseyside.

Hows it looking for Tuesday people?
-
I imagine he is talking about the South for Sunday. Looks like a shortwave and associated front might scrape the South and give a few inches of snow if they get lucky.
But isnt the north west in the sweet spot or am i reading this wrong?

When is this for Steve?
Great news from Ian update ( sort of aligns to the raw JMA )
anyway here is my forecast track of the low- I will update it with model forecast tracks tomorrow.....
* Orange central line is my forecast track
* Two outer orange lines are the cone ( northern & Southern extent
* Inside the Blue lines is my forecast snow zone
* Inside the red circle is my forecast sweet spot
* Inside the lower red circle is the possible mixing zone ( rain sleet & snow)
* The pink lines highlights the probably adjustments- higher probability it will be to the left of my line if anywhere....
regards
Steve

Even if this easterly comes off it wont affect where i live anyway. The models are a joke its the same for the precip charts that shows where the precip might travel and i guarentee it always shows by the north west. As it gets nearer the time it shifts somewhere else. Give me a northly or north westly from a greeny high any day. Screw you easterly.
Rant over
Appologies

I think you missed the letter k in wanting mate.Okay I suppose I was being a bit over the top in my wanting. But it would be quite nice to have a more wintry feel to proceedings.

Hopefully the 19th might get us something if the models are correct

Thanks ssIts all down to where the Jet stream sits
As you can see here its to the west of the UK
This allows the high to build to our east and drift to the UK
This results in some milder air coming up from the south though not all will see this at first, the south west, west Wales and Ireland would see the highest temperatures

Quick question
What is it with this high pressure over the uk?

Sorry guys but i think this is my fault. I told the wife that we would get snow and then the charts changed. Its happened every time i tell her. Will keep my mouth shut in future.

Ta mate. Hopefully it stays like that. The way it's going, very high. Likewise for here.
