Not the merest hint of brightness all day but of course there are breaks in the cloud and stars shining now! Any chance that the gap between tomorrow’s rain bands might be clearer? Predicted drier timing of around 12-16.00 would be decent if brighter! -

Sunshine alert! Breaks in the cloud after a dull, windy morning with a few brief showers. The first bright sun since last Thursday! @mike5900 that blossom seems very early! Our cherry is budding.

Disgusting day, like yesterday, I swear it has drizzled nonstop since Friday evening. Obviously I can’t be sure but the wetness and puddles suggests it likely continued over both nights!

Persistent drizzle and invizdriz. Even though the sky is brighter now it’s continuing.

TammasinWhiskers we had the absolute laundry dream down your way in August 2022. Rented a cottage in the middle of nowhere and every days wash was put out at 21.00 at dusk and was dry by the morning! *Stormforce~beka* hanging washing outside is my happy place! Bugger that you’re North facing, we are very lucky in that respect!

*Stormforce~beka* I have had washing out every day this week. If it comes in drier at 16.00 than when putting it out at 07.30 then that’s a healthy win! 3 days it’s been totally dry. Today less sun is meaning some will not be completely dry but still a win!

‘Awaits cloud turning up by 09.00! ‘ Thankfully I was wrong about the above (can’t seem to quote myself lol) and there has been almost unbroken though sometimes hazy sunshine.

Weird day. Balmy, very gusty wind, dry, some hazy sunshine, yet a very damp feel too.

There have been some extremely strong gusts again overnight as the cold front went through.

A very pleasant day with varying sun/haziness/cloud . Somewhat unexpectedly it’s currently clear and moonlit/starry.

@Alderc 2.0 I was thinking that too when woken by it several times during the night. A rather benign morning now, 8.9c and clear/breezy. Some 15c warmer than clear mornings last week!

A few torrential downpours including hail racing through this morning. Still gusty but nowhere near how it was from about 18.00 and into the night.

Trees down and power outages locally. The long, calm, dry spell seems a distant memory already!

Wonderful to have another day of maximum sunshine! Ground is frozen rock solid and washing drying easily. More please! Oh, yea !
