  1. Oh yes we’re now at the time of year when temperatures will max in late afternoon! Pushing 19c after half an hour of bright sunny spells.
  2. There’s a little sun here but invizdriz too! Hoping (HOPING) the stronger sun allied to a bit of breeze will burn through/clear the cloud a bit.
  3. Alderc 2.0 latest fax chart shows a front straddling the South rather than clearing the coast, yuk potential!
  4. I got soaked in Melksham this morning, totally misread the wrap around rain development and direction when checking the radar at 07.00! Lovely but very windy afternoon playing in the garden and doing jobs. Much calmer and clear evening for football in Westbury!
  5. Summer8906 it’s taken a while to clear through in West Wiltshire but now plenty of sunshine.
  6. MP-R yes it’s quite funny really, put my washing outside on airers for a quick rescue when the rain arrived and it must be evaporating before reaching the ground! Added to which there’s hazy sunshine too. If only more fronts could be the same!
  7. Well the horrible start turned into a decent sunny spells day, even the wind has eased a bit this evening!
  8. Terrible morning with continued wind and now driving drizzle/rain which wasn’t expected to be this far East!
  9. Rather a waste of warm air isn’t it! Completely overcast and the temperature probably easing back from late morning.
  10. Another 24 hours with the best conditions through the daytime with another wet late evening into the night on the way!
  11. I cannot even describe how completely saturated my garden is. I was actually sinking on the grass while hanging washing on the line a few minutes ago! A long long time until I can consider mowing it or letting my son play on it!
  12. 3 days in a row where most of the daytime has been the better conditions, admittedly today had several heavy showers though. The same trend looks likely tomorrow thankfully but several (MORE!) bouts of heavy rain overnight first!
  13. It was lovely working in Melksham. Got home at midday. Washing dry before the rain started around 15.30 . Decent wins, trying to think positively! Amused (and pleased ) that tomorrow could be similar all round!
  14. 95% dry today, plenty of sunshine, one heavy hail then rain shower, lots of cool cloud shapes spotted while walking then playing outside too. Easter holiday work begins tomorrow, looks like I might get lucky with a dry morning after a wet night!
  15. richie3846 not so sure about that because the ground is saturated and with so little sun due to frequent LOWs there won’t be much evaporation either. Unless there is only rain from 19.00-06.00! If only that could be arranged!
  16. No lightning/thunder for 15 minutes * . Thundery activity has died as quickly as it developed! Quite a downpour though.
  17. The speed of development South of Warminster is ridiculous! Bright lightning and loud thunder seen/heard! Huge anvil overhead but messy low level cloud too.
  18. Will the Devon cells and the Winchester cell join in a line? Next hour that looks feasible. Is it a trough? Convergence? Looks like heading W/NW so a fun evening on the way!
  19. This will never happen tomorrow afternoon. It never does when they predict it! However during all the thundery activity on Wednesday and Thursday there was not one storm symbol either before or during the storms!
  20. Dorsetbred we are and I know! Used a whole large butt of water to power wash our patio/paths this morning. We usually brush the water onto the lawn but it’s absolutely saturated (can’t think why !!!!!! ) so hasn’t drained away ! The drying result is pleasing as is a line full of washing! Hopefully an afternoon playing outside on the patio.
  21. Yet more really heavy rain pulsing from SSW-NNE. The persistence of this - forming in the same area and following the same track - is getting ridiculous!
