Yay it's brill isn't it and what a glorious day to go there!
Did he go on the massive pirate ship? How about down by the lake for a picnic?
More importantly, did Mummy go on the death slide ?

Good one Matt!
Shame you're putting Angie in the shade in that 1st pic though  .

Aaw to Em.
 to your last sentence.

I often have a nap (40 winks as me Grampy used to call it) for 20 ish minutes in the afternoon which just refreshes me. However if I do sleep longer, and especially for an hour, it is really disorientating. I end up wondering what I've missed in 'the world' .

Which park Katie? The Cotswold one?
It's always been good there, although I haven't been for perhaps 8 years now.

Is it a play on words and meaning 'labourers' instead of 'labradors'.
They want experienced labourers and not 'puppies' who are new to the trade.
Clever advert.

What a thought provoking poem Matt.

Better to go to IKEA this past weekend than on the next few Bank Holiday ones .
@Bristol is brilliant, I'd advise you to go back in 3 or so years when Milo will understand more & Tilly will enjoy it too (but I expect you know that ).

   to Milo's quotes.

Well done to her .
This topic of taking children away during school term was on the news today. I can see it from both sides of the fence. Children do miss out on learning when they're taken out of school but, since leaving the TA job, I fully appreciate why parents choose to holiday in school time.
You are entitled to take Emily out of school for 10 days holiday each year during school terms - provided you get the Headteacher's permission. You will not get these fines they're talking about if you keep to 10 days with the Head's permission.
Of course, if it's entirely your decision to take holiday's only when school's out, then that is to be applauded in light of the financial difference.

Crealy is brilliant isn't it . Do they still have that assualt course route along by the river/stream?

Ooh we had Fieldmice about 6 years ago. I heard noises between the floorboards for several nights but couldn't decide what it was. Then we found droppings in the loft. The most amazing thing was when I was up late one night and heard them in the lounge. Tried to locate where they were, after a few minutes searching I saw one scurry along a unit and squeeze between the bars of my hamster's cage, he sat down feasting on the hamster's food   ! There were 3 of them in total and they were soo cute.

That's brilliant to read .
(However Simon Dodson (the writer) or his editor need to proof read better, 2 awful errors in the early paragraphs)

I've been folowing the progress of the lad's walk through your and Mrs D's blogs. This is for him : .
Really admire his determination and dedication. McMillan nurses have treated people who I know in the last year(plus) and I know what a superb job they do.

Yea just ask them for papermaché mix. If they don't have it don't come looking for me though  . I'd be shocked if they don't. And I bet our teachers used the same sort of mix without us knowing. Don't know, are there any teachers on here who'll now be in their 60s or 70s  ?
It's like that as kids though, everything just happens in the classroom prep without children realising how. Some children think that the teachers/assistants live at school and can't cope if they see them elsewhere!
-
Does anyone remember, other than a balloon, and news paper is needed to make this? Is a glue of some sort?? I think every child in the 70's & 80's made one....
If your gonna make a papermaché thing you'll certainly need the maché part of it .
I would think that Hobbycraft will sell ready to mix stuff that you just mix with water to make the paste . Makes a good gooey mess and Em'll love it, which is great .

HobbyCraft is great, we use their website for craft ideas to use at Friday club.

I thought they had one especially for over 12s.
4 or so years ago I was part of a school trip that took about 100 Year 2 children there. I spent the day with 2 other adults & their groups. We took it in turns to go down the death slide after the children had spent ages playing. It was our turn to play!!
