  1. Looks like there’s a weak front/trough moving South just like yesterday. Amusingly yesterday’s light rain/showers narrowly missed to my West and today’s looks like being a narrow miss to my East! Hoping it will help the sky clear into the afternoon like happened yesterday. Although there have been some brief sunny spells so far.
  2. When I got up at 06.00 and saw gloom, mist and felt invizdriz as I popped out to the bin I thought oh no here we go again! Thankfully it’s cleared nicely in the last half hour and we look set for a sunny spells day.
  3. Wonderful weekend. Everyone wanted sunshine, we got a mostly sunny weekend. Then people moan it’s a chilly wind. Who cares! It’s been sunny!
  4. We pre booked an indoor attraction weeks ago so naturally it’s been a glorious day! Mind you the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is brilliant!
  5. I remember Atlantic 252 that strip of the lowest temperatures is in line with an area of rain.
  6. Got the washing dry and a good walk on the breezy and occasionally sunny morning. However the delayed cold front means there’s a real risk of a wet school run in 90 minutes from now. Some heavy showers running SSE heading this way.
  7. There’s a distinct difference between my sun trap patio and the shadier other side of the lawn. Do you know what’s the best thing about today? Not only the clear blue sunny sky, but the complete lack of wind. It’s like lockdown Spring 2020 for one day .
  8. TwisterGirl81 exactly! This is a million times better to work outside in! Plus, those wanting quick switch to warmth and heat, it’s only mid April! Ground drying out sets the way for higher temperatures later on.
  9. Kirkcaldy Weather great photos, pretty sure it’s hail falling though not rain.
  10. dr weather yes I noticed that. There was a period between 09.00-13.00 with no/hardly any showers then they started again.
  11. raz.org.rain after the last 6 odd months in my region and as someone who works outside, no I won’t be wishing for rain at any point!
  12. @MP-R not sure I recall a Severn Estuary streamer forming and moving SSE!? Developing between Thornbury/Portishead since about 06.00 .
  13. The first evening this year that I have noticed lingering twilight. It might have happened yesterday evening too but I didn’t think about it .
  14. Jasper Foxx didn’t hear thunder in Warminster but my god the hail was mental!
  15. Well after the terribly timed downpour it’s a mostly sunny and very gusty day! That will be until showers turn up around 15.00!!!!!!
  16. The last time I did a school run was the very thundery afternoon of Thursday 28th March. At every morning and afternoon school run time during the Easter break there’s only either been drizzle or a few showers. (I check/notice for irony factor) Drum roll please! ……. It’s setting up to be dreadful wind and heavy rain at 8.20-8.40 this morning!!
  17. Can’t believe we get a warm mostly sunny if hazy day and a few people still moan! Absolutely glorious and a million times better than most of the last 6 months plus what might occur the rest of this month!! Managed to get the sponge mowed too!
  18. raz.org.rain you probably did, it happened here on Monday afternoon. One of my favourite smells.
  19. Oh yes we’re now at the time of year when temperatures will max in late afternoon! Pushing 19c after half an hour of bright sunny spells.
