  1. There’s a distinct difference between my sun trap patio and the shadier other side of the lawn. Do you know what’s the best thing about today? Not only the clear blue sunny sky, but the complete lack of wind. It’s like lockdown Spring 2020 for one day .
  2. TwisterGirl81 exactly! This is a million times better to work outside in! Plus, those wanting quick switch to warmth and heat, it’s only mid April! Ground drying out sets the way for higher temperatures later on.
  3. Kirkcaldy Weather great photos, pretty sure it’s hail falling though not rain.
  4. dr weather yes I noticed that. There was a period between 09.00-13.00 with no/hardly any showers then they started again.
  5. raz.org.rain after the last 6 odd months in my region and as someone who works outside, no I won’t be wishing for rain at any point!
  6. @MP-R not sure I recall a Severn Estuary streamer forming and moving SSE!? Developing between Thornbury/Portishead since about 06.00 .
  7. The first evening this year that I have noticed lingering twilight. It might have happened yesterday evening too but I didn’t think about it .
  8. Jasper Foxx didn’t hear thunder in Warminster but my god the hail was mental!
  9. Well after the terribly timed downpour it’s a mostly sunny and very gusty day! That will be until showers turn up around 15.00!!!!!!
  10. The last time I did a school run was the very thundery afternoon of Thursday 28th March. At every morning and afternoon school run time during the Easter break there’s only either been drizzle or a few showers. (I check/notice for irony factor) Drum roll please! ……. It’s setting up to be dreadful wind and heavy rain at 8.20-8.40 this morning!!
  11. Can’t believe we get a warm mostly sunny if hazy day and a few people still moan! Absolutely glorious and a million times better than most of the last 6 months plus what might occur the rest of this month!! Managed to get the sponge mowed too!
  12. raz.org.rain you probably did, it happened here on Monday afternoon. One of my favourite smells.
  13. Oh yes we’re now at the time of year when temperatures will max in late afternoon! Pushing 19c after half an hour of bright sunny spells.
  14. There’s a little sun here but invizdriz too! Hoping (HOPING) the stronger sun allied to a bit of breeze will burn through/clear the cloud a bit.
  15. Alderc 2.0 latest fax chart shows a front straddling the South rather than clearing the coast, yuk potential!
  16. I got soaked in Melksham this morning, totally misread the wrap around rain development and direction when checking the radar at 07.00! Lovely but very windy afternoon playing in the garden and doing jobs. Much calmer and clear evening for football in Westbury!
  17. Summer8906 it’s taken a while to clear through in West Wiltshire but now plenty of sunshine.
  18. MP-R yes it’s quite funny really, put my washing outside on airers for a quick rescue when the rain arrived and it must be evaporating before reaching the ground! Added to which there’s hazy sunshine too. If only more fronts could be the same!
  19. Well the horrible start turned into a decent sunny spells day, even the wind has eased a bit this evening!
  20. Terrible morning with continued wind and now driving drizzle/rain which wasn’t expected to be this far East!
  21. Rather a waste of warm air isn’t it! Completely overcast and the temperature probably easing back from late morning.
  22. Another 24 hours with the best conditions through the daytime with another wet late evening into the night on the way!
