  1. 06.00-08.30 ; Winter - fog & hard frost 09.00-13.00 ; Spring - pleasant sunny spells 13.00-19.00 ; Autumn - gales & heavy rain So, summer tonight?
  2. Not sure what’s gone wrong today? Probably 90% of the available sunshine and very pleasant from 11.00-16.00! Lovely hard frost first thing too.
  3. So pleased that the clearer conditions actually occurred during the daytime today! Plenty of sunshine and only a few brief showers between 09.30-16.00 !
  4. Oh my it’s actually rather sunny! What a novelty! It has come after another novelty, a bit of the white stuff in very wet blobby style around 09.30 !
  5. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when the sky started clearing at dusk! Stars shining well now, of course! The grand total of 4 dry days in February. The even grander total of 188mm !
  6. The amount of cloud outside of the rain bands is pretty frustrating to be honest! Yesterday was cloudy before and after the rain band, with lightbulb sun visible for a while in the morning. Now today the rain band stopped 3+ hours ago yet it’s only now the lightbulb sun is visible. And it’s very unlikely to get brighter!
  7. dr weather I saw it lightbulb style in the thickening cloud for about an hour this morning before the rain set in around 10.30 .
  8. This is the 3rd frosty morning in 4 days and looking at the radar it will be the 3rd to degenerate into a damp if not wet late morning! We simply cannot get a dry day. Even during yesterday (for all its sunshine) there were several showers!
  9. As Beka mentions the wind is pretty unexpected. Extremely gusty from the NE. However on the positive side it has cleared the air and we have increasing amounts of sunshine.
  10. We were very pleased that the rain held off until midday so our boy’s football was played in decent conditions. Last night got down to -1.2c and it was very frosty this morning.
  11. Thank goodness all the showers are dying out before reaching here this morning. It’s meaning a bright day (so far) with decaying anvils passing overhead.
  12. My boy just emptied 41mm out of my gauge which is from early yesterday onwards! February up to 167.5mm ! That’s almost 10x as much as last February !
  13. Mother Nature absolutely nailed it! My postcode marker is pretty much under the heaviest 8.20 radar colour! School run time for us is 8.15-8.35!! Sun’s out now !!
  14. Just when you think it can’t get any worse then you see this primed to turn up at school run time!!!!!!
  15. Lol it’s looking dry until around 05.00! I expect the dry spell will include a clearer sky to allow a moonlit period after not even a hint of brightness all day! Then dull and wet through daylight tomorrow!
  16. Thankfully unlike other places there was no drizzle this morning. Cloud has broken since mid morning with hazy sunshine since. Outdoor work done happily between 9-12 and everyone’s bedding drying on the line/airers now. Looks like being the first dry day since last Monday. Happy Andy today!
