Just been speaking with family near Trondheim, they have been battening down the hatches as such. They are concerned as the last time they had such conditions they lost their boathouse. Its unusual to hear them concerned about the weather.
They are expecting 35-50 metres per second 78-110mph according to their local weather reports

Yet to see any excitement here in North Norfolk. I could see some impressive showers trundling away heading around the coast.
Unfortunately it appears we are too far North for tomorrow's action and too far South for Thurs/Fri.

Looks like we'll have to make do with the frost here in North Norfolk
Well done to everyone that has seen their first snowfall!

I like most want nothing more than snow but I'd be almost as happy if these frosty conditions continued. Lovely walking on the field margins with the grass crunching underfoot

Really thick fog here North Norfolk, just broke the record on my new weather station at -5c (been up 2 days)

Sky is darkening. Just waiting for some small bright red echoes to break out. Destabilisation is certainly happening. I bet we see it all kick off out over the N Sea by 01:00. Usually our luck!!
I'd give anything for some decent rainfall to reduce the huge fire risk we have in the region.
Now started here in Great Ryburgh and wind is rather gusty

I'm going to my first and possibly last Royal International Air Tattoo on Sunday. I don't think I will make it through the day in the extreme heat!
Bring back winter temps, I work outside all year and much prefer the cold

Squall line just through Cromer (here on holiday) and accompanied by heavy hail and a rumble or two of thunder. Madness for 10 mins.
Just as was getting a flood warning call from the EA for back in Shrewsbury where we are heading for major flooding for the third consecutive year….
Reports of a mini Tornado in the Dereham area (South of cromer) wind was like a freight train here

They must be incompetent, Norfolk is pretty much flat isn't it? We drive up and down 1/4's in Yorkshire.
I'm glad you guys are getting snow!
Trust me, it may be flat but most people these days can't drive to the conditions.
Mostly walking pace shunts especially on new housing estates with twisty roads, you turn the steering wheel but car continues straight into kerb etc and breaks steering/suspension.
Despite the conditions people will still be demanding we pick their car up immediately and provide a courtesy car.
Our claims have been pretty much normal throughout lockdown which begs the question of how many people are flouting the rules, this weather will affect us for several weeks. The owners will be happy!
