  1. Hi guys, I've been using a Davis wireless Vantage Pro version 1, for several years, but recently the console display has been turning off or freezing, even with new batteries and the power supply connected. The time stops, and the console doesn't take any new info from the remote sensors. I have to reset by disconnecting psu and batteries, and it works again for a while. Has anyone had this problem and solved it? Because this model has been discontinued, I can't get any repair. If anyone also has a working Vantage Pro 1 which is no longer needed, I am interested! Thanks.
  2. Just a reminder of what deep snow looks like.......Leatherhead, Surrey, 2/2/09. The level snow is 12 inches deep. The main road is the A245, normally busy at 9am when this was taken!
  3. Yup, remember it well! 12 inches lying snow in urban Surrey, Mon Feb 2nd. Never seen that depth for years, decades. Didn't last too long though. (Hope I am still Central Southern, and not too far S. East.)
  4. I sympathise. Early years on S Coast, where snow was a rarity (except for 62/3 of course, and a very surprising one day blizzard in 12/67 which closed my school). Now I am in Surrey, which is a bit east of you. Good luck this week.
  5. After early Feb this year (in the east of the region) gave a surprise reminder of what thick snow is like, I am looking forward to a possible repeat in the next week or so. I like the sudden quiet, the unusual early morning whiteness, the squeak of it underfoot and the "smell" of snow. There is a smell to it. Coming over all poetic....ahhh.
