  1. Oh by the way, I don't know anything about the SEPA issue - but they sent me a Flood Alert text at 9am. So perhaps their systems are now available again?
  2. 90 - 100% snow chances showing up on the GEFS for me now. These were much lower during the last Snow "event". And of course you can see why when you look at the T850. As for here - right now. Rain. I don't think it's stopped for 2 weeks at this point (it feels like years).
  3. It wouldn't be "saying" them to your mother, it would be typing/writing them, which is different.....
  4. 4.3C Air Pressure: Boring But then, there is no Met Warning for me, until Saturday.
  5. I fully expect them to start saying stuff like Arctic temperatures and Snow set to last until Easter, around about this point?
  6. Whilst the temperature is apparently dropping in other parts of Scotland.... The Borders continues to climb. 4C now.... Will be able to wear shorts before long (if you don't mind your legs being soaking wet)
  7. I would say Imagine the Daily Express headlines! But then I thought - oh wait, they don't need actual facts to backup the (weather) headlines they write.....
  8. Over the last 7 days, the BBC forecasts have taught some of us.... not to pay any attention to them. Especially the video forecasts - according to the video forecasts, the Borders should have had lots of heavy snow - pretty much everyday.
  9. 3C Apart from some still frozen ground in the garden, all the snow has gone. I'm not going to get excited about the warnings for my area until we get closer, because I won't be terribly surprised if I wake up to torrential rain and 16C temperatures tomorrow the way things are going.... Anyway here is yesterdays timelapse.....
  10. There are cms of slush on all the pavements. Not white, pavement coloured. it's horrible stuff to walk through and it's very very slippy. I'm actually quite annoyed that it's basically been snowing for like 3 days here, and hen those other days when it was snowing too. If they had all actually been snow, rather than this stuff - we would have multiple feet of snow by now.
  11. As I suspected would happen - by telling you guys that it was snowing and settling..... Temperature 0.6C Snow on the ground rapidly vanishing, and nothing falling out of the sky.
  12. It's been snowing all day here, but while heavy - it was far too wet and didn't do much. Then the temperature dropped in the last hour or so and snow started to settle in various places (but not the roads yet) Temperature is fluctuating between 0.1 and 0.2C at the moment.
  13. 4.3C (already been up at 4.9C). Yuck. Definitely no snow!
  14. It'll be rain, by the time it arrives.... Me pessimistic? How dare... yeah OK then, maybe a bit.
  15. I'm hovering between 1.3 and 1.4, so I suspect your sensor is correct. Perhaps the Airport sensor is being affected by concrete/tarmac?
  16. Shorts? In Scotland? Has there been some point between 24th December and now where the temperature has been warm enough for shorts, that I have perhaps slept through? ❄❄
  17. Oh no! I don't think screen wash copes terribly well with solids. People better be careful on the roads! (Also I would advise against people standing with their mouth open and tongue out.....)
  18. Yeah... we've had rain at 0 before, and snow at 2.5C. I'm just being hopeful (I know it's a fool's errand, but I can't help it)
  19. Well, having risen to 2.4C for no obvious reason, we've now dropped back down to 1.4C, so we will see....
  20. Up to 2.4C now. This is probably why the warning area stops before me.
  21. Whereas the warning area specifically avoids me, AGAIN.
  22. Ours was dropping, but has gone up again by nearly a degree in the last hour.
