  1. MetO sneaked an update into the Yellow warning and extended it out to 2355 tomorrow night.
  2. " UK storm damage: ‘Worse than 1987!’ Britain savaged by 83mph wind " SMH
  3. Definitely looks like it's weakening - ppn not getting as far East as previous runs.
  4. Yep - agree with that. Having said that, MetO just went yellow for us...
  5. Not convinced on tonight/tomorrow morning yet - looks like it's weakening in 00z gfs? BBC have me as heavy snow all night, which is a certainty to mean we're getting heehaw. Again
  6. Roads people need to sort out their matrix messages - Cumbernauld through to Kirkintilloch on m 80 all showing Amber Warning and AVOID ROAD TRAVEL.
  7. I like these charts... 528 line squeezed/pushed further north in the last run by about 30miles.
  8. Looks like a heavy pulse building up to head through to Stirling area.
  9. Tried fighting the M 80 but ended up facing the wrong way and thought better of it. Roads in Stirling are particularly bad snow/slush and ice and the only gritter I've seen was on the pavements. Be careful if you have to drive.
  10. We're seeing a few heavy snow showers hitting us here, but the temps are all wrong and it's turning to mush 5 mins after settling. Needing some colder air to come through with the showers.
  11. Somebody remembered to fire up the Stirling (city) snowshield - sleety pish at best.
  12. Not a flake to be seen here in Stirling - even though we're under a big red blob,
  13. 10cm pre-storm. I'd be over the moon with that - just hope they've run out of 50p's for the snowshield.
  14. This set up is looking like an absolute stonker. If it hits across the central belt, there's going to be some serious travel issues tomorrow through Wednesday. Pretty sure the last time we had something like this in Stirling, we were digging ourselves out. Fingers crossed, however my toys are still firmly IN ra pram.
  15. Still really mixed signals - BBC/MetO not really going for anything more than "some snow" whilst GFS going full blown snowmageddon.
  16. Can't really get excited yet - BBC going for rain and muck for Monday and Tuesday while MetO going with Yellow warning for Snow.
  17. I'm still recovering from the Mirror's Polar Vortex on Xmas Day headline.
  18. Pretty much all of them tbh. Especially the sports dude. He's the guy at the party who stands in the corner and nods his head all night....
  19. Listening to BBC Breakfast presenters attempting to sing leaves me struggling to find the will to live. I'd rather have sleety pish (c) 101_North than listen to that.
